Driving back from lunch today, and while sitting at the stop light I spied a clean 750 across the way...

It had the ///M color stripes on the grill...when the light turned green and he pulled through, a quick glance in the rear view mirror confirmed my suspicion....///M badge on the trunk (left side of course).

Just this weekend I saw a new 2015 750Li with a fake M badge. That car stickers for close to 100K and ye they felt the need to tack on a cheesy badge that doesnt exist? Was this done by the dealer or the buyer?

The only people impressed with subtle badges are the exact same ones that know they are fake. I have never understood this.

i dont understand the fake badge thing. OK if you are trying to be funny and put a m3 badge on a honda, i understand. But for the people who are trying to look like a M car, who drive non M car. I dont understand who they are trying to fool.

a lot of car guys are going to know something is fishy. Random people dont even know what a M3 is more than half the time anyways.

I get 3 types of comments from people
-nice "BMW"
-nice car
-nice M3.

usually a car GUY will make a comment on the M3.

Btw, just came out from leadership skills training and one of the topics in there was about listening.
I think we should listen/allow other people do what they want with their cars and not judge. Not to mention most "violations" posted here are AMG judicial territory.

i didnt even post the other M3 badges on the car... There are ones on the side under the blinker and on the front grill.

There are much better ones on this thread but this takes the cake for sheer laziness. This dude couldn't even be assed to take the 640i badge off his stripper 6. Drove like a dick too - I followed him for a bit and noticed his hazards go off for an emergency brake because he was tailgating the car in front of him going into a light. Dude must be hung like a mosquito.

Why the guy in the pickup truck have a Ford badge? I sware that's the new BMW pick up truck that they been advertising for the past years!!!! It has an S66 engine, V9, 37 valves, old aspirated, tractor suspension, oxygen spring loaded, lifetime exhaust titanium ball bearings!!! You guys don't get it. The guy in the Benz just wanted an m3 but his wife told him that it was either a Benz or a Benz!!! So he got an M Bemz!! I wonder if there is an M3 with an AMG badge. Non BMW owner will always want to copy or imitate the BMW brand and the M3 brand. But that's ok. Let them be. Do you really have to have a badge on an M3 to know that it's an M3? For me the less noticeable my M3, the better people that appreciate cars know what an M3 is I just don't care if the rest knows.
