I bet that BMW gets that from Swizzvax. Swissvax has Opaque.

You can also look into Dr. Beasleys. They have a full matte regiment.

Not the same as swissvax, I have tried the opaque swissvax and dont like it, leaves a shiny finish
I use all Dr Beasleys products, car shampoo, coating, cleanser and matte final finish but this last one doesnt work as the bmw nano wax, i use dr beasleys final finish more to remove water spots or other stains rather than a final finish coat, works really good as a stain remover

Found this thread while researching about Waxes/coatings/you name it for protection of my Frozen Silver F36.

I have only used Swissvax Opaque Wax so far. I am quite happy with it, but I have nothing to compare it to.
I was looking at Dr Beasley's Matte Paint Coating, but what confuses me is the statement above:

Isn't Dr Beasley's Matte Paint Coating an alternative to a wax!? Why would you use a wac on top of the coating?

Any other product that anyone has used and is happy with as an alternative to the Swissvax Opaque wax?

Q² Matte?
Ceramic Pro?

Up to this point I have not been a big fan of the look of matte colors on a car. I must say, however, you pictures changed my attitude. Your car looks pretty damn spiffy. Nice job.

They are not quite the same coating, just to clear out, i dont use both at the same time, i prefer to use bmw matte nanowax as a final coating rather than Dr Beasleys matte final finish, the nanowax leaves a real coat on the paint unlike DB finish

I too have a frozen white M3 and bought that wax. The results are quite spectacular. I dont care what the naysayers may say, there is no PPF satin film that looks better than these finishes do.

Here are examples in different light. I’ve used Doc Bs products as well. I really like the paint cleanser but the best detail spray for Matte I’ve used is by far Poor Boys World matte detail spray.

OP, your photos might make owning a black car worth it to me again.

My last car was a gloss black Audi S4, and while it was the best looking thing on the road for the whole 10 minutes of glory it had after a good wash, I eventually found myself discouraged from driving it because it was never up to my OCD standards for a clean car after about 2 days, and found myself with less and less time to maintain it.

Since then, I've moved on to my mineral white M3, and feel spoiled only needing to wash it 4-5 times per year (it's garaged and not my DD). But I've found myself spending more time driving and less time cleaning and fretting, and I'm pretty sure my stress levels are measurably lower after making the switch haha.

Either way, very nice car. But maybe I'm content admiring from afar at this point

I will get around 12 applications from the BMW nanowax, the finish lasts probably for one month so $135 for one year of use is worth it
Updated info: the frequency to apply the wax will depend on the type of use you give to your car, sometimes i apply it after just one month if i have taken my car for an out of town dusty road, sometimes I wax it after 2-3 months if the car has been driven only weekends and inside the city
