Where can I sell my awesome X3?

I tried the dedicated F25 BST forum, but that seems to be pretty sparsely frequented, and that's across geographies, so it feels about as likely to find its intended recipient as a message in a bottle.

I'm reluctant to try Auto Trader because of the endless time wasters, but I'm not sure what viable alternatives exist.

Auto trader and kijiji but you have to be patient, like you said some time wasters but you'll find a buyer

I always post on both autotrader and kijiji. I get similar traffic and buyer always ends up from kijiji. Even my Porsche sold through there. Can't explain why.

Trade it in to the dealer.. The hit on price you take is the cost of dealing with the tire kickers on AutoTrader or Kijiji.

Weigh your options, sometimes a trade in is worth it, or alternatively, you get more money from a little headache.

Done on both sites; I will communicate with no-nonsense people and ignore the rest, with an expectation of trading it in unless a good offer falls into my lap first. Thanks for your suggestions.
