Yes

I did some quick stats ... as follows:
- There are a total of 1515 M3/4 in US now
- 937 of them are M3s
- 578 are M4s
Of those
- 122 are 2018
- 446 are 2019

i really want to get back into an M3. i traded my 17 m3 for an 18 audi s5 a few months back and itching to get back into a 6 spd manual. there are plenty of M3s with manuals (5+) within a few hundred miles of me but it seems like all the leases are now $1k+?? seems awfully high; my $71K optioned M3 was only $830..

Compared to financing I think it's clear that I would end up paying more interest on it so probably not a great idea, but compared to a lease??? I still am not sure.

My understanding is that after 3 years I can sell the car and essentially would not owe any extra money because the dealer will be buying up the remainder of what I owe on the car and I can put it into the new car. This almost seems like too good of a deal to be true and I feel that I must be totally missing something here.

I know I sound stupid here but does anyone have any thoughts on this?
You can sell the car from day 1 to the final day of your select term, typically 3/4/5 years. However the dealer will not be buying up the remainder that you owe. YOU are responsible for that amount and need to cut a check to BMW for the remainder balloon amount, or refinance it with someone.

Your quote was probably on a 5 year term? So if you want to move on after 3 years you still owe 2 years of principle plus the ~$27k balloon. You'll almost be guaranteed to be under on the value at that point.

Seriously. I'm being quoted $1100/month for a $79k m3...

Ya I've pretty much decided to get out of the leasing/perpetual payment game. When BMWs leased so well it made sense. It doesn't for me anymore. Looking to pick up an e90 m3 for around $30k and be done with payments

My dealer told me the loyalty on the m3 is $750 and sent me this as proof.

Just FYI

Where are folks in the SF Bay area shopping at? Don't see good deals in the area despite the holiday season and an impending new model 3-series.

12k miles / 56% residual
10k miles / 57% residual

$4000 lease credit (updated Dec 12)
$1000 loyalty credit (lease/APR)

2019 M4 CS:

15k miles / 54% residual
12k miles / 56% residual
10k miles / 57% residual

Is this a good deal?

Vehicle Price: $76,395
discount: $4,000
Selling price: $72,395
out the door price: $79,962.93
36 months/10k lease
Residual $43,545
Total Rebate $6k

$2k out of pocket: $1020 per month
With all those discount and rebates, monthly still pretty high

please give some input. Thank you.
