Aggressive fitment thats going to aggravate most M owners *

Have a question for my fitment guys.

*****YES, I KNOW THE PREFERRED OFFSETS EVERYONE STAYS SAFE AND KEEPS GETTING...
I Have daily driven cars with more stretch, crazier fitment, faster cars with bags etc etc etc.. just looking to go a little different with this build.

Ok, now that that's out the way.

My f82 is currently dropped on coils with upgraded spring rates. with the front having additional camber adjustment options.

I snagged a deal in a older set of work wheels.

20x9.5 + 15
20x10.5 + 15

The fronts are manageable, possibly run between 245/30/20 - 265/30/20 (still will fine tune this)

The rears (pictured)

Would the stock rear camber get me anywhere?

Narrowed down to a 260/30/20 for the tire.

The new wheel is 31.4mm further out than the shock rear wheel

The new wheel for the front is 20.5mm further out than the stock wheel

I think you're gonna have problems in the rear (heh). I'm dropped on Swifts, 19 x10" ET20 on stock 275/35, and I rubbed on moderate bumps until I dialed to - 3* rear camber.

Yeah, I was thinking the same. Did you get that adj from the stock rear or additional adj. camber arms?

Crazy deal on these wheels, so it's worth a shit.. worst case, I'll refinish and sell the wheels if it's going to be a crazy hassle.

Last daily set up, 20x10.5 + 10 where so we told anything lower than 28 won't work

why go through the trouble of making the car look/ride/drive like shit? go widebody, run flares, or shave the fenders if you want a true aggressive wheel/tire fitment. otherwise, running stretched tires just to make a set of wheels fit hardly qualifies as aggressive IMO.

Again, car won't "ride like shit" read the original post.

A 20x10.5 + 15 for the rear isn't aggressive? It's kind of is when mist run low 30's for the same size wheel.

Also, slight negative camber and a 255-265 tire on a 10.5 isn't much of a stretch.. just seeing any input from those who do similar set ups. They are on here, plenty of them

Oem camber wont be enough to get you flushed even with a stretch. You'll probably run 265/30 on the 10.5s and you'll be around -4/-5 camber which you'll need rear camber arms for.

Im running 20x10 +17 on a 255/30 and only -2 camber up front

20x11 +34 on a 285/30 with -2 camber can probably push it out another 7mm and be "hellaflush" but that only brings me down to a +27 give or take

You'll need more camber adjustability

Thank you

That's what I was thinking, just wanted more insight on this specific platform.

Looking to avoid modification to the body of the car, so rear camber arms are looking like my next buy

Agree.

The OP is self aware given the thread title. To each their own. But I'm more along the lines of -- why mess up the handling capabilities of this car? Isn't the whole reason to own an M3 about performance?

At some point, boulevard pimping gets boring and you need to go thrash the car on the track or the twisties like it was made for. I wouldn't want to do that in a "stanced" M3.

Annnddddd I'm back.

Wheels were sent off and 6mm was shaved off the rear, 2 mm off the front.

Wheels were sealed and I'm glad work wheels has a lot of back padding, wheels structure is safe and I couldn't be happier

Now, wheels are 20x9.5 + 17 and 20 10.5 + 21

Wheels were also fully straightened and repaired within proper zones as far as bends due to they are discontinued and were bought used..

I had them refinished and polished, ordered new work wheels valves and a TPMs adapter kit. (Should have taken pics)

Could have went wider on tires but where I wanted the scar to sit, it's 255/30/20 all around currently.

20mm less in the rear, same mm up front so not much of a difference.

Rear camber is only -1 (I've see a few M owners use -2 just for bigger tires on stock wheels )
Front is no camber at all.

Enjoyed the car about. 3 days now after install and I'm super happy.

Tires are tucked about half way and it's not "raked". May bring the front up a tad.

No rubbing issues, full locked u-turns, no highway issues on and runs/pulls, plenty of space set for suspension travel, no speed bump issues so far. Can corner and drive without any issues. Little less grip in back, but wasn't autoX'ng the car anyway..

Seems the common "stanced" complaints were all avoided ☺️

You sure about that rear camber? Factory setting is right around 1.5*, honestly that looks cambered closer to 2.5-3* than 1*...

It's at 1, just dialed it in last week. Was at the shops when they did everything as well

Lol thanks 🙌🏽

It was a mission of numbers and finding the right shops to get the work done. Specifically the mm shaving.

I was nervous on that rear fitment as well, but determined to get these older work wheels on the M

I agree, looks at least -2.5. You can clearly see it's much more camber then the front and the front is looking about -1.5. Even with aftermarket parts with it that low it's almost impossible to even achieve only -1.0 in the rear.

Well then, I'll let you guys think that if it makes you feel batter. Not really going to argue about my camber settings on my car, when I was there as they set it and was looking at the screen and final adjustment print out.
