Thanks for this information. Is there a relatively easy way of ascertaining in which of the 3 buckets you have identified that an individual vehicle will fall?

Without reading all 68 pages....can any tell me if anti dazzle and vld will work properly on my 2015 with leds? The last few pages I read seem like it’s not working as it should but I wasn’t sure if that only pertains to the 2017+ cars.

Yes, it works really well in pre-2017+ cars. I had this in my ex-2016 M4.
You need to have KAFAS camera for it to work at its best.

See post 429 of dmnc02 on page 20 of this thread.

Follow the instructions in the attached pdf of that post to the letter.

I have a 2018 M3 with the "Full Adaptive LED" words on the lights. Build date is 4/2018. I do not have the Lane Departure option, but I do have Automatic High Beams. Is it possible for me to code anything to unleash the true Full Adaptive LED?

Need some advice:

I'm in Australia, i already had the 2015 f80 lci 1 LED adaptive headlights with HBA and anti-dazzle and everything working fine.

I recently retrofitted with the Icon headlights and i've coded it to enable FLE43/44 so they are working fine now (turns on etc). All i did was just inject the cafd file and i did nothing else.

Will the HBA/ Anti-dazzle still work or i need to redo all this with coding?

Also can someone confirm - when i push the high beam (manually), it comes on and the rhd lights adjusts (moves) focus to the centre. Is this normal? I don't remember this in the old led adaptive headlights. These lights are brand new so they've never been adjusted. I had to adjust the the height as they were pointing way too low. (Also these are RHDs).

Thanks!

Thanks "pmooiweer" for clarification. Seems I don't need to do anything else.

May be this is for the wrong thread but sort of still on the topic of led lights?

Why this part number doesn't exist and the sticker looks very different to everyone else's? Is it because the build date is in May 2019??

See attached picture. Thanks

Are there other part numbers on that housing other than on the sticker? Wonder if that's a Valeo part number vs a BMW part number.

Hi - I'm trying to find out how to configure my car (F82 M4) so that the option for the High Beam Assistant defaults to "On" when the lights come on, rather than always have to turn on the option via the stalk because it currently defaults to off?

I've got the Vgate iCar Pro Wi-Fi ELM327 OBD2 wireless connector and the Bimmercode app (iOS) but can't find it as a standard option once it's interrogated the ECUs

Any idea how to change this option via coding - I've tried reading through a load of threads and am sure it's here somewhere but can't find it!

TIA

Does a 2017 M4 with lighting package have the capability to just be coded for the anti-dazzle feature or does the car require different hardware like I heard from other members in the 2017 and later models?

...
I looked into it and everything I've found says that's not possible on the F8x.

I just want to confirm Almaretto that even if I have KAFAS2 and Adaptive LED's, this won't work on a 19 F32, correct? Guaranteed, not even worth trying, right?

I have not seen any information to dispute that.

Thanks to rokkuchan and this thread I got mine working on a 2014 F32 435i Just need to code in the adaptive euro specs

My car had pre lci adaptive Leds, was plug and play plus coding.
DRLs, turn signals work, lights up, no errors. We'll have to fully test it out at night but so far it works and i'm a happy camper.

I see you are in Canada. So why are you concerned about US spec? So far, it seems Canadian spec cars have the appropriate hardware that allow the coding of the full adaptive features.

I thought US and Canada have the same hardware....

Last time, I sent my file to Peter (?) for comparison between pre 18 and 18 regarding the coding difference. He found there are two parameters (led1 led 2) which are only existing in 2018 models.

Has anyone made it work on 2018 Canadian spec here ?

Check out these posts to determine if your headlights have the hardware required to fully enable anti-dazzle HBA - https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...1553056&page=3

If the hardware exists, then your vehicle should be able to be coded.

My 18 F80 ZCP was built in April, 2018 but it does not have the right hardware for the driver's side which i just checked last night.
