That’s a hard blanket statement to make.

I pulled my deposit for 718 gt4 and wasn’t rushing to buy a 981 gt4 after borrowing my brother’s at track days.

I think you have to really aspire to the brand and be ok that you are paying a LOT for a given level of performance.
The $$ is a tough pill to swallow. The GTS is a easier one to digest, especially a used one.

I've never tracked a GT4 but fit, finish, and driving experience are far better than an M4 IMO.
Of course it. How much more expensive is the GT4? It better be. Duh

Very True. Not everyone thinks it's worth it though. I don't know what I'm gonna do after this M4 lease is up. Hate the new G80 renders. Fuckin awful. I have a 16 month old that having a backseat for very occasional drives would be beneficial so Porsche is our for me (will not drive Porsche's chick car SUVs). For the 1st time in my driving career there isn't anything in the pipeline that I find desirable. Also the 1st time that BMW doesn't have anything For me. Weird. I might just keep this M4 off lease.

Similar boat to you with a 19 month old. Just picked up a .2 GT3 and will be leasing a tundra (these can be had for sub-300/mo right now, which is insane). Otherwise, have you considered an X3M? I haven't driven one but hear they're a blast. I agree with you on the G8x. Looks awful.

I have. I'm really not an SUV fan to be honest. We have an X3 for baby duty right know because the wifey wanted it and wouldn't go for a wagon. Let's just say I'm not sure ///M SUVs SAVs whatever should exist. Plus there is no manual or DCT option. Lame. I'm sure the X3"M" is fast but fun to drive? Can't believe a Tundra is $300 a month. That's crazy.

Got a link to the Tundra lease deals? I prefer Tacoma's but sub 300 for a Tundra might be a no brainer.

Edit: https://forum.leasehackr.com/t/march...ng/106422/2036

Crazy deals being had on them and Tacos.

How about m3cs? I keep seeing these posts about crazy deals on them.

Even if you got a civic M3, it would be a nice quality of life upgrade for you to have the rear doors.

I drove my sister in law’s cayenne at a winter track day and it slid around really nicely.

It goes back to whether you think it’s worth it, but it was a legitimately fun day at the track with that suv.

Actually I almost pulled the trigger on a few M3cs's last year. Local dealer had a white one (can't do white) and found a sweet blue one. In the end I'm a coupe guy and wanted a coupe. M4 CS was out with those terrible door cards and both were out as this is my daily and I want CA and rear climate for my little guy. So I ordered 2020 M4 and flew down to Spartanburg for PCD delivery with the family.

All these cars are costly and I want what I want. If I could I would rock what you have going on. Older 911 for fun/track and a daily. I'm sure the Cayenne was fun but I really don't like the sitting position in SUVs.

I still can't believe BMW is making this buck tooth monstrosity with AWD and ZF8. Ugggg

Definitely not gonna rock that thing out!

I’ll wait to see in person before judging the heck out of the g82 m4. I am after all a guy in line for a Tesla armored personnel carrier / pickup so I am not the best judge on aesthetics.

We seem to have similar car tastes. My wife has an f31 330. Super convenient (and a fairly cheap lease ex service loaner....)

My old 911 is unemployed right now because my SM is stored at the track and has taken over all track duties, and my EV is such a beast below 100mph that it’s taken over commuting. Hit me up over PM if you want it. Back seat is great for kids.

I will be keeping my F82 m4 forever, I love this car! It looks so clean, cruises good, it’s pretty fast and handles really well. However, I have said that about my last 4-5 cars and they are all gone lmao.

Welcome to the new world. It's not a BMW problem; just happens that just about anything out there sucks. Cars are becoming, um, how to say, Tesla like.

Yeah. Sad. I agree. Definitely not getting a Tesla. I was just looking at AMGs yesterday online. Might give one a shot for European Delivery when this lease is up. I'm trying to look past the old man driving the Mercedes "situation". Haha

Consider a GT500 or C8 Z06 once out?

12 years ago I bought my e90 promising my wife that I would keep it for at last 10 years before I bought another (I was a habitual car changer). Well, last year, when I bought my f80, I couldn't get rid of my e90. I have both of them now. My wife cured my illness.
I don't see myself letting go of my f80 anytime soon. I love driving her so much and I can already tell my bond with her is going to be as strong or even stronger than the one I have with my e90. My f80 is a keeper!!!

I've been thinking about letting it go. I mainly have it to keep miles off the ferrari when i want to have fun. And because its a manual. I worry that when i trade the 458 for a manual GT3 i wont have a need for the M3 anymore. Might as well free up that 40k, put it in the market...and just drive the GT3 whenever i want even if it means 3-5k+ miles a year. But at the same time, variety is the spice of life, its nice having a peaky high rpm NA engine and its nice having a 4 door monster that flies under the radar like the f80.
