I had the same questions in mind.
Is this BOV going to protect my hybrid turbo's?
When I am boosting and come off the throttle, I do hear intake sounds which I assume is trapped pre-throttle boost reversing through the turbo and out of the intakes.

They can’t sell it directly but you may be able to get it from resellers like XPH

Would be nice if BMS or some other specialist can give us a answer to this question.

1) I answered this in post #8. Pure and Kratos do not have larger wastegates. I don't know if Vargas alters the wastegate size.

2) it doesn't interfere with the turbo wastegates, the BOV is triggered by accelerator pedal position reduction.

If you are getting surge when letting off the throttle or even slightly lifting the throttle, then yes the BOV should help, it did in my case.

I didn't realize when you said OEM BOV function you meant the wastegates. I can see how this BOV could benefit certain situations, like the surge you mention from plus-size turbos...

Since I drive stick and need to come off pedal during shifts how can the BOV be configured to hold pressure for shifts but release when needed? When I do my built motor this summer the BOV may be appropriate.

Any other good electronic controls for this solution, like a Motiv or maybe the new BM3 chip? I'm learning to have as few controller boxes as possible, and more intelligence where possible.

The S55 doesn't have a BOV from the factory, so it uses the electronic wastegates as the "BOV function" to vent boost pressure.

The electronic BOV controller that should be included with the kit can be adjusted to activate the BOV upon small APP reductions, or not open the BOV until large APP reductions. It was easy to fine tune it to my preference.

I do not recommend using the intake manifold as the pressure source, I recommend using the Macht Schnell TMAP adapter on the intercooler for the pressure source.

I am pretty much finished building my custom single turbo setup. But when I was running the BOV, I had Kratos turbos installed

Did this kit create a rich condition via DME when the air is actually blowing off, and/or do the benifits of reduced compressor stall (stock setups) out-weigh that??

No it does not because the DME is closing the throttle when you let off, so only a little bit of the air is actually flowing through the engine.

No I haven't. They said end of March but something is holding them up.

This is truly a great day. I’ve been a BOV (the louder the better) hustler for years. Now all we need are big FMICs we could put on our cars!!

I love the whooosh piisssssh noises from BOVs hah!!

I will say however, the noise in that video is pretty lousy. I want something obnoxious like the HKS SSBOV from back in the day. Hearing that video does not make me want this particular kit.
