This was my understanding from Lotus' explanation and how the configurator is showing for me.

Its a busy week for BMW spy shots and leaks. The new 5-Series was spied in a lot of camo. Looks pretty big, 7-Series sized Kidney's, a short and sloped rear end, as well as a G20-esque kink.

stein_325i Yeah I was building one in the config with that green and it's lovely.

I don't think I'll get one but it's a really really beautiful car and I hope I get to see them around. Fantastic design, seems like the interior is nice but minimalistic without random shit everywhere and for the manual you can see the whole stick in the opening of the console.

I hope it does well.
If they're not insanely priced, it'll get interesting but I expect them to be getting a good tax up from their estimate in the UK.

Site been slow and loading pixelated earlier so it's probably just high traffic so it's not updating properly.

I don't know if anyone feels the same way, but I was considering swapping my F82 for something like Jaguar F-Type, Cayman GTS or even an Alfa Romeo 4C. But I felt that I wouldn't be upgrading as they are not new cars. Then I started looking at Giulia Quadrifoglio. But would it be an upgrade? Or just another beautifull car with only 2 extra doors? I don't need extra doors.
Bmw disappoints me every day (or am i the one who doesn't know anything about modern design?) and i have no desire to exchange my car for any of the current bmw car's. Only the M850i...but the price is abusive.
But with the Emira...damn, i haven't been so excited about a new car in a long time!

I'm really bothered by the fact that the V6 is not placed in the center like the I4 cover.

Such a minor thing but to me it ruins a otherwise perfect design since its out of alignment.

Still don't understand why BMW insists on having the bottom of the car all black. Those black rocker panels don't do anything good on the 2er.

Too bad they ruin things with over-styled bits, e.g., rear "diffuser." And why are the kidneys joined together?

It's a mixed bag that only gets worse as you get to the rear, though it's already better than the G22... which is not that difficult to do

I kinda dig it at this angle. We'll see in person.

Yeah the rocker panels from the M3/4 was not a good touch, reminds me of SUV Cladding. I do love that color though.

Isn't the opposite true now? Manuals don't exist in most cars due to cost and low take rate? That's how it is in the US at least.

If I had the choice I would take manual in 90% of cars. It's just more engaging.
