6 point harness and weld-in brackets anyone?
I am thinking about adding 6-point harnesses to my GTS, but I would like to do it "the proper way" and not just attach them to the seat rails.
The brackets are available through BMW, has anybody done this and could share a few photos? The carpet will have to be cut out. Are those cut-outs already pre-cut (like Porsche does it on their RS) in the carpet? Any tips and tricks are welcome. Thanks! Dan |

I am also interested in whether there are pre-cuts. I haven't looked under mine to find out, and although the thread above is helpful in showing where the cuts go they didn't provide any information in how they determined the location or how they accomplished any of it. Also I believe that was on a non-GTS so even if we asked, they wouldn't know whether the GTS has any templates since they didn't disassemble that car

I think only until GTS has reinforcements as the brackets and harnesses were standard for the European GTS models

Yea, I think BMW always had the brackets, but was only available outside the US.
I discovered the part numbers through realoem.com and purchased it from https://www.schmiedmann.com/

Just to be clear the cut-outs are not pre-cut from the factory.
