There is 0 chance they will sell that car for that price.

I have someone I can talk to at NC (upper management) so they would rethink it. Considering how long their F82 M4 GTS sat for last time, they didn't seem to have learned pricing a car like that above a Porsche is not smart.

I already been told someone i have contact with have an extra G82 CSL for sale and I'm pretty sure that price is far lower than whatever NC has priced theirs.

Tesla is able to do well for a number of reasons but the biggest? Is this. They don't have dealerships to gouge you to death on price of cars. I am no fan of Musk (in fact I hate him) but I won't deny that Model 3 and Model Y is priced EXTREMELY well compared to everything else. In fact, I think the used market have crept back up for some cars, new one hasn't changed aside from certain brands because they sell poorly to begin with.

XM is targeted for a certain demographic. There is a flaw in BMW's logic because people who buy cars like the XM, will have enough to buy a Porsche, Aston Martin... etc. 8 series did poorly for the same reason, target demographic is slim and they have more choices. Most of the time, better choices.

I can get it cheaper too but I am not interested. They sold a 991 GT3 from a customer trade-in a few months ago for $180k. That was a good deal.

Not gonna lie this is probably the only thread I read on Bimmerpost lol.

Anyways with the way BMW M cars are headed I've decided to go a different route and go Porsche this time. Recently got a 2019 911 Carrera T!

Previous M Cars:
2020 M2 Competition
2019 M4 CS (Trade in)

I'm not gonna lie the new G80's kinda grew on me but I still just couldn't get over that front grill. Undeniable performance yes, but man compared to the looks of the F80/F82 the G80/G82 is just not enough for me to make the switch. Even thought of possibly going G87 M2 since I really missed my F87 M2C but again BMW kinda dropped the ball on the design.

F80/F82/F87 in my opinion is peak BMW design. Seeing those designs for the first time I never needed the cars to "grow on me" it immediately grabbed my attention in a positive way that I knew I had to have it. Something that the G series M cars just don't.

Congrats on the car! I think your sentiments fit right in with this thread - no wonder it's the only one you read. LOL

Porsche owners: How are the interior rattles? I'm curious about how solid the inside is over the course of a few thousand miles.

Interior rattles are no go for me and if I thought about having a Porsche as a DD, I'd love to know how the interior holds up with some miles on the clock.

My 992 has approximately 2400 miles and I have not encountered any interior rattles whatsoever (…but none of my BMW’s rattled either). That said, some cars do have rattles, so you’re not guaranteed to be blessed with a rattle-free Porsche.

Rattle free after almost 10k miles. I found the interior trim easier to remove than any of my previous BMW's. I installed my short shifter, dashcam and radar detector without any issues. Everything is solidly built.

My 21 C4S (with less than 5k miles) had two pretty bad ones, one in the passenger side door and one in the rear seats. The passenger door one was every time I drove the car and the rear seats one was pretty rare.

Your sig is hillarious. The minute I saw G80's it looks like a pig nose even non-car people thought the same thing and chuckled.

Thanks! Yeah Guards Red. My preference tbh is White but I never owned a red car before so I'm pretty happy so far.

Howzit 🤙🏻!! Mine has 28K miles(2019) and mine has a few minor ones. But then again I do have the 991.2 Carrera T with less sound deadening and lightweight glass. So far it hasn't bothered me too much. I also had a couple in my M4 CS btw. Other Porsche 911 variants may vary though since they seem to have more insulation.

Don’t they get banned from Porsche. The owners not the dealer. The first two GT4 RS are used. One guy was selling his GT4 RS on BaT and Porsche or the dealer asked him to remove the listing.
Ok found the listing here Buyer paid ADM. Dealer charged ADM. Porsche not allowing the seller to recoup his money lol

I'm pretty certain the GT4RS will be the purchased price + markup. On average in LA (or Cali) it is +100k. That has been the case for both the previous ones that been consignment. Acid Green and Speed Yellow one, I am pretty sure it is the case with this Arctic Grey as well. Soo, don't expect it to be cheaper.

If the owner is selling it outside of the dealership network they definitely will get banned from buying a GT car again. In the recent market, dealers are extremely weary of their GT cars being sold like that (aka outside of dealership network). However, as these cars are consignments through a Porsche dealer, they aren't going to be in trouble. See it like how Ferrari does it. Instead of Ferrari pretty much demanding you to sell the car back to them if you are to get rid of it, Porsche... quietly recommends you to either sell or consignment it through dealers. That is why so many of these recent GT cars seem to go back to dealerships because the owners (generally) realize if they do it through BaT or anywhere else and get caught, they will get in trouble.

If they are consignments, they sell it as the owners want to sell them at. These aren't certified used cars, which is kind of the difference. They are consignments. If dealers catch you trying to flip these cars, that is when you get in trouble as allocation numbers for the GT4RS and GT3RS (992) are extremely low.

My back side windows and dash/cluster sometimes will “buzz” depending on the rpm particularly as the revs climb. This in my 991.2 gt3 w/full Akra. Headers, two side mufflers/HFC’s w/ no rear muffler. so the car is an 18 so maybe at this point the rubber seals need some lube

My GT4 doesn't have any rattles aside from my passenger seat belt hitting the seat because race car (rough ride). It has about 1,500 miles currently.

The GTS sitting around 9,600 miles has no rattles. It does occasionally come from my driver door, which is the stupid door handle area and that isn't unique to Porsche though. I have had that issue with BMW, Toyota... you name it. That comes in goes for me, in fact, I forgot to tell them during my maintenance two months back and it hasn't really rattled. Occasionally it just randomly occurs just to remind me.

^This, sadly our Pathfinder and Tacoma are the only rattle free cars I can remember. Seems all of my fun cars have had them except oddly my M4(s) IIRC.

Those two GT4 RS are CPO and on consignment. I am confused.

Acid Green and Speed Yellow 4RS are both consignments, not CPO. I haven't really asked about the Arctic Grey situation but I am pretty certain it is also consignment, because they (owner) can sell it at the price they bought it, the dealer only takes a % of it.

If it is CPO, they lose more $$ on it because they have to certify it and all of that. Which takes time and $$ and these owners are close multiple car buyers from the dealer. Lets be honest, a car under freaken 500 miles don't need to be certified ffs.
