catalyst install
Took some advice and grabbed a Catalyst. I was thinking of how to mount and it securely and after combing through some past posts I decided to go with a Pro Clip solution. From what I can tell it’s robust and sturdy enough to support. I have the arm mounted down to hopefully lessen the shear weight / load on the clip itself. Feels very sturdy, but will for sure after tomorrow at Streets.

Thanks, looks like a solid setup... on the site I easily see the appropriate base mount for our car, but what "device holder" did you pair it with? I see they make something specifically for Catalyst but that doesn't appear to be what you have, looks like you are using a generic ball plate, then the rest of the stuff supplied with the Catalyst?

It is very very sturdy and I’m happy with how it came out. I can also swap out an iPhone mount from ram that uses the same “b” size ball easily for the day to day. |
