I finally installed the KW DDC P&P in my car (F80 M3), which I waited for a long time. KW DDC installation is the first time in Korea, so it took us some time to adjust the height and wiring work, but I didn't think it was that difficult. The work was done at a famous workshop in the area.
But there's one problem.. I cannot notice much of the difference between EDC modes (Comfort, Sport, Sport+). The forum here says people who install KW DDC can definitely feel the difference, but I don't see much difference, so I think there's something wrong with it. After the installation, the EDC was reset using ISTA, and there was no open circuit error. Any opinion regarding the difference on each EDC mode of KW DDC? Please share your experience with KW DDC Plug and play.

Did you connect the plugs from the EDC Wire with the Shocks? It could be a little tricky...

Just my opinion but all the modes are more compliant than stock comfort setting so it’s not much of a difference unless you’re pushing the car pretty hard.

I'm convinced that all aftermarket EDC systems on our cars need a different calibration of the supplied edc current range. My theory is that the current-damping curve is outside of the central linear range of the aftermarket valves so you are either at one extreme end or the other of the damping curve and it's highly non linear.

I had the KW ddc installed earlier by a reputable shop also and cannot tell difference between the suspension modes. I figured it's normal. Overall satisfied with suspension quality over stock so I don't mind. Dont let it bother you. Enjoy the better ride quality.

Code the car to M3cs dampening/suspension calibration. That will yield the most noticeable change but will mostly feel similar to stock. This is a street compliant setup and not really for hpde type driving.

So, I understand that it’s more compliant, but how is body roll? Do you feel a big difference in body roll and handling (for the better) or is it more stance and comfort? I personally can’t pay that much for a suspension setup and not feel a drastic improvement in handling. This is my main hesitation with KW DDC.

On the track you will generally be riding on the bump stops especially with grippy tires. Can you track the car with them; of course but there will be significant roll relative to Bilstien yellow with a proper spring… whereas the bilstiens are rougher on the street generally. I had these coilovers on 3 f8x’s. They are great nothing wrong with them imo.
