ID4 -> ID6 retrofit install help
Hey
I was trying to install my ID6 from ID4 (2015 M3). On my old head unit I have a blue and green plug but on the new unit I don’t have both plug coloured inputs. What do I do with these wires? I’m assuming the blue is the built in Navi plug which I’m losing but not sure about the green. (Last picture is my old head unit) For those of you that have done this install, does your wireless antenna not have an end piece or is it just a wire antenna like mine? Also where’s the best place to put the antenna for consistent connectivity? Under the main harness plug, the new unit has a small plug in socket but not sure what that’s used for? Any ideas? Thanks |

Old thread but could be very helpful. I think I have the same original unit as you. Can you remember what other features you lost with this particular install? Did you do anything with the OBAR connector (the small socket beneath the main harness) or just left it empty? Thanks if you can help. |

That's possible with a voltage converter
