KW HAS sitting to high, different springs?
has anyone tried to swap springs on KW HAS?
do KW offer different height of springs? i like where my front sits currently, but rear seems to high at lowest setting. i would like to keep the springrate as it is but get little shorter spring. has anyone done that ? or does KW even offer springs separately? thanks, |

I had to do this with both KW V3 and HAS. For V3 I had to get longer springs in the rear. For HAS I had to get shorter springs in the front. This was on my old F80.
KW is not good for stance at all. KW will also not recommend what I did. |

You want it sitting on the ground? Get air bags and compromise on performance.

Figured out! Spring are on the way.
I will have it installed with some camber plates. Talked to KW US they wanted $150 each spring, only one was available. Have contacted some KW dealer in Germany, got both springs with shipping to the states for $250. Springs should be 15mm shorter than the standard springs. Will follow up once installed. |

HAS is designed to lower the car 10-15 mm max with slightly stiffer springs to stay within stock strut travel limits. It is not designed, or intended, to be used with the ride height slammed to the ground, the stock struts with their limited travel absolutely weren’t designed and intended for this use. BMW MP HAS system shows you the correct amount of allowable drop without affecting stock strut design requirements. Any thing lower, a HAS kit is not for you. |

Here’s a perfect example of a form over function, worse than a 1-finger F & R fender-tire gaps with absurd forward rake taken from tomlong above. I can’t imagine how poor the ride quality and handling of this car are: Last edited by M3SQRD; 05-07-2024 at 12:56 AM.. |

At least you’ve learned from your mistake. Those are the best types of learning experiences because you learned it first hand and you’ll never forget it. I work with a bunch of mechanical and aerospace engineers and there are quite a few that need information/knowledge spoon fed to them and, consequently, on paper they have 30 years of experience yet in reality they’ve repeated their first year over again 30 times - no retained new knowledge because they did not learn it the first time on their own. Then they try to put the blame on you for not “teaching them”. It’s not my problem you’re an idiot! Pathetic.

Alright fellas, different strokes for different folks.
There’s a fitment I’m chasing and given this is my second F8x I figured I would give HAS a try this time around over the lowering springs I had. I didn’t want to spend four thousand dollars on V3s. And this thread was about making something work that was already installed No one’s doubting the almighty V3s |
