Hey guys, been researching. So I think my turbo is going bad. Almost every time I come to a stop at a redlight, gray smoke that smells like burnt oil comes out my exhaust and basically surrounds my car, lasts a few seconds. It happens 80% of the time and only when I come to a stop. When I start my car in my driveway there's no smoke. There is some oil consumption, I added a quart after 2 months of this issue.

This is not this particular O-ring problem right? and it's a "turbo seal"or "exhaust" side? Is this repairable or I need new turbos? Any advice is appreciated.

It is not an o ring problem, the turbos need to be rebuilt, or new units.

I changed out my spark plugs out today, 15k on the BMW NGK F8S (gapped 0.020), they looked ok, no oil on them, and checked out the charge pipes. There was some oil on the front charge pipe, is this a normal "blow by" amount? There was no oil in the rear charge pipe.

The heat shield blocked most of the view of turbo exterior, but from what I could see, there wasn't any burnt/wet oil on them, there was no oil inside the "turbo outlet" where the front charge pipe goes or any in the top mount intercooler.

If it was worn piston rings or valve stem seals, would it only happen after you come to a stop? It would be smoking more consistently right?

Dont think it'll be PCV related issue, as my car was squealing last summer, and I had my valve cover/gasket replaced 20k miles ago.

You can try removing the DPS and check if there is axial play, the oil in the front charge pipe is normal due to the PCV.
