It changes the airflow across the engine, which messes up the airflow model inside the DME and requires the tuner to compensate/adjust for that. Figuring out how to do that and what to adjust is a massive PITA. Same applies if you install Schrick cams.

Ah. Thought it related to the O2s for some reason. Makes sense! Thanks!

Not sure when you spoke to Ian @ Bend but, they have recently confirmed they can tune MHD with single bank turbo setup.

Chris @ Motiv did the tuning on my turbo setup running EFR8474. Took some time to get dialed in..I would like the very low end to be as smooth and responsive as stock but, we shall see.

supposedly they won't mess with OEM E-gate on upgraded single, unless they just wanted to add another reason not to tune my car

I went with Chris at motiv. Hope to be up and running in a week or two on MHD.

Conversations with Bend were this fall and they would only tune with o2s pre turbo in the manifold.

Been a month or so messing around with the single turbo 4n kit. Chris at motiv has been super helpful getting it running on MHD. Had it out to the track a few times. Buttery smoothe and fast as hell. Not a big power / torque build but feels way better on track with the power band moved up compared to stock. Think gts +. Always quick on power and sounds amazing.

Can't recall who was working on the new Vargas single turbo kit...can't find the post but curious how it's working out?

Any updates on your setup ??? Just had a friend of mine get a big boost kit and it was literally used garbage so that rubbed me the wrong way I’m gonna be ordering from speed tech myself….

What is it that made the kit garbage? I installed the kit about 2 weeks ago and have been running it on early revisions of my base tune supplied from Chris at motiv. Install was pretty straightforward, the motor mount definitely gave me the biggest challenge when installing due to how close the motor mount bracket is to compressor housing. Drive ability has been great though the low end can definitely feel a little dead at times but up top the car just keeps pulling. Heat has been a huge drawback this week during logs as the east coast is experiencing a heat wave. Though for $5200 there isn’t much more I could ask from the kit.

Hey guys, sorry for borrowing the thread, can't make a new post yes since I'm a new member.
I'm planning to do a single turbo build on a F80 and are leaning against the 4N kit.
I've currently a ESS supercharged 2017 R8 V10+ that I've built the last 5 years, so I'm very familiar with that platform, not jet too much in depth with the S55.
Trying to do some research to see what's needed for around a 800 whp build. I will use the car as a fun street car to play around and burn some rubber with, to bully my other friends with supercars and also to do some track days with.

Is it best to go with the EFR8474 or 9274, is there a big difference in the lag?

I'm planning to do a built engine with pistons and rods, and crank hub of course.

How much torque can the DCT hold up with a xHP tune? When is upgraded clutches needed?

Motiv ReFlex for flex fuel E85, LPFP and boost control(?) if I've understand right.

MHD as platform as I want to use map switch, do logging and flash custom maps. Is it possible to get one map with lower boost, one with full boost and one with boost by gear for better traction on MHD?

What LPFP to go with and at what levels do I need to change the HPFP?

Is it enough with EU5 or other updated injectors for DI or do I need PI?

Charge cooler, front and side mounted IC and oil cooler from do88.

No meth as I want it simple and live in Sweden where it's not crazy hot.

Is there something else needed for a reliable and simple build?
Any help is appreciated.
