Eventuri CF Upgrades and CSF TMIC Installation

Well, after months of delaying the install did a nice full-day installation of:
- Eventuri CF CAI V2
- Eventuri CF Charge Pipes
- CSF TMIC

Wanted to stack the jobs as they are all basically on the top of the engine and removing the airbox is part of the charge pipe upgrade and removing the charge pipes is part of the TMIC upgrade. Doing it all at once took a bit of backwards and forwards. Removal was very straightforward on the stock airbox and stock charge pipes. The TMIC was fairly easy to remove until trying to get it off the charge pipe. Wow, was mine stuck. Assuming it's from the heat in the engine bay shrinking the stock plastic pipe.

The only other frustrating part of the installation was the small grommets that connect the eventuri to the existing airbox vents and force air into the cone-shaped intakes. The provided grommets are very large and the space between the chassis and the holes for mounting would require a child's hand. Dropped them down a couple times on the driver side so had to remove the undertray to retrieve them. Ended up using some other pop grommets I had from Amazon and that did the trick.

One last bit was around the E11 removal and installation on the rear charge pipe mount against the engine. It's precariously placed and requires a bit of socket ingenuity. Not the worst however, one of the more frustrating bolt placements on the car.

I also had to self-bleed the car using the BMW DIY (accessory mode) and had to cycle it three times as the coolant level kept drawing more. I must have lost more coolant than I thought.

For a couple engine bay pics:

Thanks to flexspec for the Eventuri parts (ages ago now).

Why are your intakes exposed instead of closed off at the ends? Personal pref?

Also if you are ballin with the eventuri charge pipes and intakes, why not get the wagner TMIC? Figure that is our top of the line option with no loss in hp/tq.

I internally debated Wagner but had purchased the TMIC when it was on sale like 10 months ago. Only then did I see the debate regarding Wagner. Will let everyone know if I decide to swap out. Getting the stock TMIC off the pipe was one of those “why is this harder than it needs to be” moments

The hardest part of the TMIC is the initial removal of the OEM one. That J-pipe is on there tight. Otherwise, pretty straightforward installation. The engine cover fits and there is no modification needed. The CAI fits within the existing space from the OEM airbox no obstructions or rerouting required here. I installed both V1 and V2 as I had both kits and ended up with V2 as they are closed.

If you do the eventuri CF CAI you do have to reroute the 2nd MAF sensory across the top of the engine outside the original OEM brackets but honestly, you can't see if and not a big deal.

Thank you! I have the V2 already and now im aiming at the CF CPs, just considering the gloss finish from IND or not, its a 150usd more than the matt finish ones.

Oh I misread your initial post.

The CPs are snug, no issue under the engine cover and the silicone couplers make the figment to the TMIC nice and tight.

I think I will actually go OEM M Performance... but haven't committed yet. Any thoughts on the difference(s)?

I also bought the OEM CF one, i think it looks better than the Eventuri one. Just worry about the fitment with the Eventuri CF CPs.

Fitment was 9/10 with the Eventuri CP. I have the OEM Engine Cover Painted in Imola Red and this one Fits 10/10 with Eventuri CP. So, I assume the OEM CF Engine Cover should fit perfect!

Thank you! I always worry about the fitment because my current Evolution Racewerks fits horribly, that’s why I wanted to get the Eventuri.
