Seat bottom questions
I know the comp seats have the lumbar delete and are carbon, but the seat bottom is pretty thin.
Do the regular seats have a thicker seat bottom? Do they have thigh extensions like the regular 3 series? I can’t find any pics of true base seats… |

Other than the cutouts and lack of lumber adjustability, the rest of the seats are the same as the base model. Seat bottom is thin on the base seat - you sit lower in the f8x than the e9x M3. BMW would minimize any changes made to the zcp seat primary structure and seat height so that another round of seat qualification testing isn’t required.

I don't think F80 comp seats are carbon.

Correct f8x seats do not have carbon, not even the GTS. Companies offer a “click on” center back piece of CF. It’s not part of the oem seat unless he has g8x seats installed in his car. If that’s the case then nothing is the same except the four-bolt mounting interface.
