2016 M4 - trunk water channel guides

Hey guys,

Can anyone confirm which way the trunk water channel panels should be reinstalled? I removed these to clean underneath but unsure of whether the flaps need to get tucked underneath the trunk trim or sit on top of it? Car is a 2016 M4. When I try to install it underneath the trim, it takes an unnecessary amount of effort as it seems like there’s a weld in the way. 2 pictures, 1 of each showing the possible ways I think it should be reinstalled. Just don’t want to install it wrong and have water build up over time.
