F30 M3 - Coupe? Sedan?
Normally, after BMW release New model, they comes up with sedan first than coupe/convertible finally M-serise.
But just a rumor, for New 3series(F30) come sedan->M3 sedan first than coupe/convertible. Because of E92,E93 335is. It doesnt convince at all. Anyone got ideas? |

I believe SCOTT26 confirmed that an F30 M3 sedan is not currently in the plans (though that could change of course).
I would look for things to play out as they typically do, and as you had suggested in your post: first the sedan, then the wagon, then the coupe, then the convertible, and then the M models. Keep in mind also that there will be a 3 series GT at some point and there seems to be the strong possibility for a 3 series (4 series?) Gran Coupe as well. So those may throw a wrinkle into the release timeline. |

i hope they don't make M3 Sedan because I'm planning on getting an 09-2010 M3 Sedan. I dont want it to be outdated so quick.

Roundel is reporting NO M3 sedans to be built ever again... ever, well, no F30 m3 4door, and IMHO THANK GOD! They are not selling them anyway, and it dilutes what an M3 is.

Lots of M3 Post members would disagree.
Keep in mind there's a good possibility for an M3 Gran Coupe so this dilution that seems to bother you so much could easily continue. |

There is NOTHING wrong with a sedan M3. The cars drive the same no matter how many door they have.

Anyways, the way bmw does it, i doubt that there will be a m3 sedan cause E30 - Coupe only E36 - Coupe + sedan + convertible E46 - Coupe + convertible E90 - Coupe + sedan + convertible If history serves us right, this should be next for 3 series M. F30 - Coupe + convertible |

The M3 convertible is more of a dilution than the sedan is. The vert is all compromise (more weight, less rigidity). The sedan is 99% if not 100% the performance of the coupe with the utility of two extra doors.

^ i agree, but some people who aren't purists have to have a convertible. but i think the E90 handles better than the E92 in some areas. just my opinion.
but i must say both the sedan and the coupe M3 looks really good. i hope for a sedan as well. |

I think the M3 sedan and coupe are both great cars and I really hope the sedan continues for the next model.
