I received yesterday a mailing from BMW about the "carbon" edition where I can see the steering wheel:

It is in Dutch. I am also invited to a M2 launch event and I will ask for the availability and pricing of the parts as I am interested as well.

If you are talking about the gear knob it is actually part of the carbon edition.

It is mentioned as "Paneel schakelknop carbon".
