Haha! Thanks bro. It seems this thread covers a wide range of topics. I guess we could only talk about the grille/front bumper or certain members being banned for so many pages.

P.S. I still love the front end if the G8X.

I am annoyed at the Kayanos, as I feel they have gone down in durability and quality. They used to easily last me 450ish miles, but now they are barely making 300.... Also, Asics has made the Kayanos look more like the "super shoes." I don't want all of my shoes to be carbon plated super shoes. I have noticed that my cadence is less when using the carbon plated shoes, even though I'm running faster paces. So, I like to use the non-carbon shoes mostly so that my cadence stays high. Anyways.... I could go on and on...
That's actually funny because I been looking around for shoes for daily purposes for a bit. Both for driving and jogging/walking as I jog/walk every day (weather permitted). When I went back to Taiwan about half a year ago, I ran into Hoka Clifton 9's being on sale. It was less expensive there at that time and they had my size and the wide version so i got it.

My feet is slightly wider so the typical narrow shoes don't work, hurts my feet. So, haven't found any shoes I can really use as shoes for driving (don't know if that is needed).

This method and approach was shared by the delivery specialists at the PEC when I picked up the car. It all sounds a bit ridiculous in or out of context, but it's effective. If I have passengers, which is rare I simply help them in and out. My wife has it down pat now. Also, beware if your significant other wears heels. They can easily damage the door sill if not careful upon ingress or egress.

The bolster protectors are also a great investment as the bolsters will get destroyed over time. Do you plan to purchase seat inserts?
I been going back and forth between Justin Placek and P1 Design. I am unsure on if I need memory foam or not for P1. Thought I did but now I am not too sure. I also prefer as close to a OEM fitting as possible and the P1's memory foam kind of sticks out and it may bother me. So, I am literally just sitting on it until I figure that out.

JP's problem is how to order and how expensive it is.

The bulging and non-OEM look and fitment of the P1 inserts killed it for me. The insert not being fully seated would bother me too much. Not to mention I wanted the 911R fabric and Kim at the time mentioned she could no longer source it. Placek was just too expensive in my opinion. It appears to be of good quality, but it felt like a price gouge. I ended up going with ClassicFX. They came out perfect! Very happy with them.

Good for you. I think you'll find the trip well worth it. What I found about as interesting as the race and the fanfare surrounding it are the cars around town. My goodness. Race week in Monaco is a car enthusiast's wet dream. Swing by Monaco Motors if you can. If the doors to the service bay are open, even better. I saw some cars I thought I'd never see in person. Enjoy and be safe!

So, I guess BMW is celebrating 52 years of M by having a very questionable colored G8X queef to blow out birthday candles? Mmm kay.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know what engine misfire may feel/sound like?

Does your RPM bounce a bit and would go away after your foot is off throttle for a second or two? I am trying to figure out if this is my own doing or something I am not aware of.

It almost sounds/feels like the engine is sputtering. You will notice the hesitation. I cannot think of any situation where you could be creating that type of engine response yourself. I would have your fuel injectors checked.

Yeah I’m trying to see what’s happening. Had it happen 3 times at 1st gear. But from what I can see, no engine light has been thrown and all I see is my rpm bouncing. I let my foot off the gas and after a second or two, it will be fine and it seems nothing happened.

I marked the first two times as maybe traction as I was in situations where I would have lost some traction due to how stiff the car is (aka three wheeling) but yesterday night, I downshifted to 1 from 2 and it started happening as I was trying to accelerate on the on ramp to 10 freeway. Rpm kept bouncing around 4k, up and down.

Might ask dealer to check if something is up because I done this plenty of times with my GT4 and never had it act this way.

That’s definitely not normal behavior. It’s either ECU, MAF or injectors if I had to guess.

Update on the last minute Monaco GP weekend! Just getting race day started with espresso on the deck. Apartment has an pretty good view but for a crane. Alas…Monaco.

So the trip started off kind of bad. Lufthansa was 2 hours delayed out of LAX…that meant changed connection and missing quali. Ended up at the very rear of the plane. Great convo tho with a new college grad but boy was it shit…see the bare feet beneath me. Full economy experience.

Was able to score a pod at the Frankfurt mycloud transit hotel for 89 euro for 3 hours. Clutch. Set off fire alarm trying to steam wrinkles out of my shirt in shower. Traveling with only a backpack here.

Lufthansa was late again to Nice but made it to Monaco before 8 just in time for dinner. PJs on the runway were nuts! We squeeze in at a nice little Italian place where hosts Dawn and Keane have already been (probably going back tonight becuase we’ll take the table over risk and the food is delicious).

Best part…Zhou Guanyu is over at the table in the corner with his handlers. Keane and I were trying to snap photos and then Dawn just decides to do a little hand-written note asking for photo on post-it and have waited give it to him. Still pays to carry a pen I guess, as he very graciously obliged. We were able to get a quick shot with him as he left. Super chill guy.

Wander about the town looking at the scene…definitely not scening the look. 😉

Some cool cars…the large and small of Mercedes’ range, a well parked Porsche and a bunch of fancy shh. Then the modern art…a piece of fencing just laying up against more fencing. 🤣

Neat. Where was this? I thought of going to Carcadia today but being in bed won me over so I stayed in bed.

Sedan_Clan definitely going to give my assistant service manager a call on Tuesday. Hoping my car stored some codes to identify something.

It was in Malibu. We combined Ferrari and Porsche group this time. About 16-17 cars. Man that 918 was sweet plus the Ferraris screaming.

I would assume there must be data stored in the DME for the dealership to reference. Especially considering the nature of the issue you’re having.

Correct. There are 20-50 events stored in memory depending on the module. You can only see this with PIWIS. Good luck bro

Yeah I even posted on RL to see if anyone have any ideas but we will see.

I even drove out again yesterday evening and nothing. She was singing just fine. No problems but I didn’t self downshift to 1st though.

Edit: Do you know if you can see these codes?
