Just received the 2018 Canadian Ordering Guide. As per the pic, seems to me the black option 666s are not in fact full gloss black but a dark grey with black accents.

This plus the black ///M emblem on the seat backrest instead of silver is pretty much it for the F80.

F30/F80 already got its facelift MY16. Its just getting some of the F32/M4 facelift features it didnt get in 2016.

If you look at history, mid-cycle "facelifts" on the M3 have always been rather light consisting mostly of taillights refresh. This time around, we are getting new headlights along with the taillights. The F80 already got it's refreshed taillight stating MY2016.

I have never understood the appeal of LCI cars. By the time BMW trots LCI out, the platform is getting long in the tooth and development is already heavily underway with the new series. More importantly, the competition has caught up or even surpassed the particular M3 model.

I love my 2015 M3, I now have years of enjoyment with it, and when it comes time to upgrade in a year or two it's going to be an 991.2 S or Alfa, not a car that is 4+ years into its life cycle. If BMW wants my attention in 2018-2019 it needs a brand new car

I disagree. The F8X keeps getting improvements throughout its lifecycle and keeps winning some comparos despite not being a brand new platform. This was the exact same with the previous M3 generations. LCI is just a minor cosmetic change. I have a hunch we'll see further upgrades to the F8X platform going forward.

A 911 is just in a different market segment.

It's going to be hard to improve on the gorgeous looks of the 2015 f80 series. To my eyes it was a huge step up from the previous model, the upcoming G model is bound to be a bit of a disappointment, that is to say a marginal improvement over the current look which isn't much different than what we see in the photo above.

I bet it's just the drawing. Can't imagine 2 tone wheels for no charge. Would be sweet though.
