Nothing will get dated as bad as these G8x grills. They will be equivalent of the 911 996 of the M3 family.

That was just one (1) comment in the whole three-page thread... calm down a bit.

Though the "outdated" thing I always find very intriguing. Goes to show that many do not look past the shininess and novelty of any brand new product - cars, electronics, etc.

A Miura may look outdated next to a Huracan, but that doesn't mean it looks bad.

No wonder why there were so many M3s driving up route 24 last night
Didn't bother to go as I am no longer interested in ordering one, at least not until they reveal future model plans.

I passed on going to my local dealer launch when they said no test drive. I already sat in one and seen several M3/M4s up close.

Ouch! Check out the leases for the new G8x cars.

$0 due at signing $1694/month
$3500 due at signing $1578.45/month
$5000 due at signing $1534.14/month

https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...80&postcount=1

That is rich. At those rates, other cars come to mind.... :P

I dunno, I don't drive that much these days so if BMW is gonna pay me $1694/mo to be seen in that thing, I could see taking that deal ...

Haha Gruss! If only! But seriously, that's about 60K for a 3 year lease or 40K for a 2 year lease. Really bad residuals it looks like. Don't think these cars will be flying out of showrooms anytime.

That doesn’t seem right, did they give any more specifics? That sounds like a dealer playing games and adding 10-20k of ADM. I built an M3 with a 82k MSRP and the payment estimator said $1050 for a 3 year 10k mile a year lease with $2500 down. I know it doesn’t factor in everything, but usually they aren’t far off.

Or that poster is trading in their 2020 M340 with a shit ton of negative equity.

No details... but I think you're right. Must be ADM on it.. that is the only thing that makes sense here. Pay to be hip and the new kid with the shiny toy!

I’d expect that from one of the dealers out here in the Bay tbh

Thing is, obvs I was joking but I don't think these will sell well so there's going to be discounting, lease deals, but more importantly a LOT of dealership / importer games.

If you work for bmwna or ANY bmwna affiliate expect to be driving a new m3/4 company car.

What did the F8X lease at during launch? I don't remember, but I do remember people paying $1400+.

Maybe if you paid more than MSRP and are an idiot with leasing ... if not an MSRP lease was $1200ish at the most.

Of course some random guy walking off the street into a BMW dealer asking for a lease quote on any new car is going to be paying full price or more. A BMW lease broker I know is advertising ~$900 for the new M3.

Are these two really "similar in price"?

In any event, not a great showing for the M4 if they are (but I wouldn't consider them to be)

Edit: call me fickle, but I'd want the PDK though that means the braun shaver which is a deal-killer.

I believe pricing between the 2 cars are a lot closer in UK which is where the video was filmed.

I think they mentioned in the review that the M4 was closer to £88k specced while the Porsche they had was around £80k but more of a basic model.
