Wait, I thought Xpel is just another brand of PPF?

Probably go Suntek myself if I do this, from what I've read online seems the reviews are good but the biggest reason is they have a factory direct here in Martinsville, VA. In case I had any issues. My guess is all these types of protection coverings are pretty much the same, as the technology has really advanced over the years, so I can't see going wrong with any of them.

I am still going back and forth on putting the film on my car. If you spend the 1500-2000 up front to do this what are the chances you actually recoup any of that at sale?

I was out in the garage looking at my 2011 last night. Had a few tiny marks but not much for 42k miles. Dealer gave me great trade in value. Doubt they would have offered me more with clear bra.

Might just do opticoat.

What did you hit?

From the pic it looks like paint is transferred to yours. Try hitting it with polish to see if it rubs off.

Accessories never add any extra value to the car itself but it does help protect your finish which in turn helps hold the value of the car better.

Yeah but probably not enough to offset the cost. So if you can live w/ a few blemishes like me probably not worth it?

There's the difference between me and you, I personally would go crazy if I see chips on my hood and bumper. I am really anal when it comes to my exterior of my car. My E92 M3 had so much chips I ended up repainting the whole front end which would cost more then the PPF. Either way, each of us have different opinions about things. Let's hope we all be chip free!

Pic's coming for you tomorrow!

This will be my first brand new car. Guess all my cars have come with a few chips to this point. I probably will freak out with the first blemish lol.

Lol, this will be my 3rd brand new car and the most expensive one ever. When I took delivery, my friend wasn't available to help me install the PPF and I've got like 5 small chips already so I can imagine the front will get slaughtered with chips and imperfections as time goes by.

Hey guys - Anyone in Georgia or close to Georgia know where I can get a quality install done w/ a custom cut? All the supposed high end guys I'm refered to use the pre-cut setups instead of going full out on the front clip like Wei car.

I'm thinking I want to do Xpel full front, rockers, mirrors, and rear bumper top.

Opted for 3m clear bra and cquartz. Very happy with results-especially with sapphire black-the smudges were driving me nuts. Will have pics shortly. One is posted on Morr wheels instragram right after being treated. Looks better than new.
