Enhanced USB/Bluetooth
What is this option, and why should I get it?

The standard equipment let's you stream music via Bluetooth. The enhanced gives you complete control of the phone through the car as well as various apps. If you look on the list of standard equipment that comes with the car it says Bluetooth somewhere near the bottom.

not sure if that is the total package of the upgrade.
standard Bluetooth will allow you to transfer your "phonebook". upgraded does more than that. it transfers Google maps, Pandora, youtube, and any other 3rd party music player, you can transfer playlists from your phone with album artwork, you can download apps to make your phone a "key" (not sure if true, told by SA), there are several BMW apps you can use along with a few other apps included via iphone/ android that can be transferred to vehicle. when I say transfers I mean it shows the app as if you are looking at it via your cell. I believe the only "video feed" you get is the navigation apps. on youtube you will only get sound and such. I am pretty sure there will be a coding fix later on to correct this. should not be hard. |

Is this Enhanced USB/Bluetooth Integration currently a "code-able" feature on F3x? Is that why you guys think it can also be enabled with a simple coding?

Ok so check this out...look at 6nh. The car comes with Bluetooth but it's just limited to basic features. If you get the enhanced you can use all the advanced features like using spotify and other music apps as well as writing text messages and other stuff hands free. Personally I could give a sh*t about that lol. Now I'm not too familiar with coding so I don't know if there's a way to "unlock" the enhanced version. To me it seems like a software thing bc honestly Bluetooth is Bluetooth I'm sure they just lock out certain features.

Audio streaming is something that I want though, and will use, and not sure it's worth not ordering it if it really can't be for sure coded later on or without some hassle. If it really were confirmed 100% that it can be added on with just a simple code and no certificate, then yeah I'd skip it to save the $500 bucks and just add it on afterwards. |

Enhanced USB and Bluetooth is BMW Apps and Bluetooth Audio. Standard USB and Bluetooth is just that, USB for the iPod and Bluetooth for the phone calls. Currently Bluetooth Audio can be enabled by coding in the USA (Combox is standard regardless of Nav), BMW Apps require a FSC. |

What's FSC? I'm assuming it's hardware? .
