I love my M4, plus it's so tunable so you never get bored of it.

You should go M4 comp package or M2 based on word of month on the M4 Comp pack.

The Porsche is a lot of fun on the track but as my initial review on the M2 it is just more fun driving to work and back. The Porsche is just too planted and limits too high. Therefore the imperfection such as not enough traction or straight line power makes it fun. But I prioritize great steering, chassis and brake feel before anything.

I've had an E90 M3, 335, Cayman S and now a '13 Carrera S. Not even close, hands down the 911 is the best car I've ever had. Got one that the original owner loaded up with 30k in options for 40% off the original MSRP with two year CPO warranty.

I don't even have my M3 yet, but I am already planning on a Porsche of some kind for my next car.

M3/M4 are wonderful vehicles, but 911 is 911.
You should drive what u want. If u scratched your itch for the 911 and want to move on, u should. Variety is the spice of life.

911's are overrated unless you go with a GT car. I sold my 991 GTS after 6 months. I've owned a few cars over last few years and my favorite are the BMW M cars. So much performance, quality, refinement, and utility for so little $ compared to P cars.

I wouldn't do it. I have both and would never choose an M car over any 911. The M doesn't provide the same level of performance, handling, quality or refinement that the 911 does and never will. My 991S also rides so much better on 20s than my M4 on 19s. BMw IMO is way behind when it comes to suspension. The S55 is great but still nowhere near as good as the turbo 911 motors let alone the NA S motor in terms of sheer enjoyment. Once you start talking about the GT cars, it's game over. I'd keep you 991 either way.
The only area where the M cars really excel is that they're cheap (but makes sense given the lesser quality and refinement) and space.

911 are over-rated especially the 991.1. They are not torquey and you'll only feel the performance difference on the Track. The 991.2 S however is a better car but then you will be looking at a new car hitting at 125K.

I just got M3, but was looking at 911. With my budget I could get CPO "S" manual. I personally liked 911 much better but had to get M3

3 kids and need for reliable car(new). It's my DD

I will definitely have P car in future

991.1, 991.2 or 997 ...what year? Personally, it's the 991.2 S, the turbos or the GT3 I would get myself to leave the M3/M4 lineup. The difference in performance/driving experience is great larger at that point. Anything else is just a wash in my opinion.

Totally agree and I'm fortunate to own an F80 and a 991 GTS. If the F80 is business class, the Porsche is First class. I can commute in the GTS year round, put at least 10 grocery bags in the frunk and get 28mpg and have great road presence.

Character comes into account and the turbo has plenty of that
