Looks like comp. pack is coming in 2016 and details will emerge in May according to Scott's post in an M2 thread:

The comp pack has to come with extra HP bc not much is left on the table (we already can get CF roof, CCBs, upgraded 19s, adaptive susp, etc). We need 1. More power, or 2. More and better color choices.

iirc 1900 dollars.
BUT, I expect this to be more because it will probably add a power bump the ZCP pack on the e9x was a great deal IMO

man, I am excited its coming early for future buyers and the tweaks bmw will offer, but I will be a little bummed if there is a real red offered and ZCP.
ZCP is nice because it is very easy to retrofit ZCP parts to a pre ZCP car, which I will do. hopefully the wheels are 9.5/10.5, that would be a huge addition to allow for some wider rubber. the ZCP suspension is always awesome, and should give the car a perfect stance while still maintaining that awesome OEM balance of handling and ride quality. ill retrofit these parts on my car ASAP

My ideal comp pack: 1. MPE or Sportier Exhaust 2. Lowered suspension (but not harsher) 3. Aero 4. small HP bump or water injection
If they did all that and priced it nicely, they'd be able to sell a lot of cars configured that way. |

Do u think it's worth holding off 3 months for a 2016 building thinking there will be a power increase and a tweak to the suspension? Reason I'm asking is bc I have a sweet price lined up for my build now and I'm not sure if I should hold off and wait. Don't want to jump the gun but also don't want to regret waiting either! What do u think? |

I'm certainly not sweating it... I'm going to have more rubber than ZCP, and I plan on performance by other means, anyway.
I definitely don't feel bad for buying early.

Why would anyone expect a power increase this soon? We're losing our minds as consumers lately. The E9x went a full cycle before getting a HP bump of only 11 HP into the next gen F8x lol

Because they are going to screw first year m3 owners like they did first year m5 owners. At least thats what it looks like. Comp pack on the fi engines has included a power bump.

They have no choice with the C63S floating around.
It's pretty damn easy to tune for more power. Especially since they know how to get into the ECU. lol...

What is the HP discrepancy between first year m5s and current non-comp package? 552 v 560?

The person I was referring to implied a non-comp pack may be getting a HP increase. It's more reasonable to expect a Comp Pack to receive a bump in HP. That's what I'm saying.
