OLED Tail Lights for F80 M3

Since I still haven't received my first set from Nicole and I went ahead and ordered today from bayoptiks, they now carry them. My guess is it's the same V2 that everyone is ordering but for 650 if you have an issue it's nice to deal with someone in the US that actually has good customer service. Already have tracking so I will post pics as soon as I unbox and install. Message them on IG and tell them m3__dre sent you and they will get them out to you today, they said they have plenty in stock and will have installed pics on a car and possibly instructions within a few days

saw this as well

still waiting for mine from aliexpress...maybe i'll pick these up instead and try cancelling the order

Are the V1s so bad visually? Is that the reason people go V2? I'm only asking because the V1 start sequence is perfect and could be claimed as OEM but V2 is atrocious by comparison.

Guess I'll just sit here and wait for V3

Is the $300-$350 sets on Alibaba the V1? How can you tell if it is V1 or V2?

It's a three piece diffuser from 1.5Carbon

David's video is making me hope there's a version 3 that looks and functions exactly like V2 but has the same start up as V1.

The ones bayoptiks sell are essentially a v2 but do the start up sequence on unlock. they confirmed this before me before ordering but my set will be here Monday and after I install ill post up a video of that. Also Nicole from alibaba who now many of you know says the first initial batch of v2s didnt do it but the new ones coming out of china will do it. I still would like more info from solas but there is no way solas is producing them in the US, the cost would be the same as oem or actually more, because BMW would be producing a lot more than a small start up company. I would love to purchase solas when they come out but the lack of information they are giving to me seems more shady then some kind of mysterious magic that they are going to produce.

Basically the blue connector needs to be connected to the similarly sized black connector.
The 4 or 5 pin smaller connector is the only one that should be plugged. Basically you only need one of them connected to the main harness on the box. There is a smaller 4/5 pin connector for the trunk lights.
The two wire is to be used for inside trunk lights if required due to model year.

Connect those two together and the smaller black connectors go to the other light connectors. Can’t remember off hand if both or just one.

What year models need the two pin connector for the inner taillights? Hoping to install my V2s tomorrow

Also sorry if you have V1s. I'm 24 pages in of reading and forgot who has which ones...

Probably any model pre-LCI (<2015)
It’s not a huge issue imho. Connect them and and gently close the trunk. If you’re lights don’t turn on, you’ll need the extra two wires 😅. Either way, no coding will be needed to make them work.

Just got my V2's today from Bay Optik

Will try and get them installed today (hoping the inner tail lights won't be too much of a hassle)

The V1's I had weren't too bad of an install after figuring out the wiring

Looking forward to feedback from the Bayoptik batch. I had my headlights done with them, and just waiting for a video/additional pics before placing an order. But pics here are appreciated
