What is the hardware difference between CP and non CP for you to make that distinction?

Just updated my stage 2 93 octane tune from v3 to v5.

Haven't really driven the car more than 5mins,

What changes have been made? It would be great to know what fix or updates have been made to v5,

Quick question:

Can Stage 2 E30 map be run on 93-94 octane? or must be on 100+ race gas ie: Vp109? or E85?

don't run the e30 map on 93 octane as there is a 93 map, stick to the correct octane and log to see how happy it is.
the e30 might run the same boost but AFR's are way leaner and runs bags of more timing
V5 has cat efficiency turned off, not sure what other changes it has but it's a damn smooth map as I have been testing it out on this tank.
burbles are also working perfect and consistent as well.

maybe dzenno can chime in on what changes were made to the V5 map's

I'm not sure how this is possible but on stage 1 91 tune and I'm getting same mileage or even better in some cases than stock!?!

It's winter here but I've been driving more aggressively than previously, when I was on stock tune.

Only other variable I changed was switch to Shell 91 (fm Petro 93) which offers 0% ethanol in Canada.

However, will be going back to CS tune soon as I'm experiencing some rough idle at times and adaptation should be done by now.

Same here but I'm on 93. For me, I'm always pushing the throttle in more to make the car "go" whereas the stage 1 map the throttle is much more linear and I don't have to press the throttle in more, if that makes sense.

Bingo!! Shell's 91 is 0% ethanol which is not mixed and gives better mileage.
I have noticed consistent 15-25km of more range on each tank not just in the M4 but my other cars as well.

With 93 & 94 starts off as 87 or close and they add the ethanol etc to make it 93/94.

My local VP distributors owns a few Esso gas stations which carry 93.
He told me, he gets free gas, but he doesn't pump it in own sports cars because its crap.
He mixes shell with race fuel only. Not even 94 with race fuel.

I did that first few times with 91 + 105 mix, last time I mixed 94+105

He said also, you really think that's 94 you pumping right now? It is probably 91-92 octane as it evaporates in transport etc..

I don't put 91 because I am tuned on 93 so I switch between 93/94.
Who cares about gas mileage

ahh, I was told same boost levels but didn't realize AFR etc.

Ok so, I will run stage 2 E30 map next time with 50/50 mix of 94+105mix see how it goes.

v5 I noticed Cold start is turned off now, which makes my burbles less.
I actually like cold start

Just a heads up my car was throwing "low octane" codes at the dealer and all I had been using was Petro 93.

I switched back to Shell 91 and was having some weird idling issues this weekend.

Can't seem to win in Calgary.

UPDATE: Version 0.9.96 is out. Changes include:

1) Fixed downloaded map handling fixing offline mode flashing for pre-downloaded maps as well as a bug that would cause repeat downloads when maps are already downloaded.

2) Changes to support the next iOS and Android app updates. Updates are being pushed out to the app stores today. Google Play Store always has it up within minutes of us pushing it up there. Apple on the other hand takes a couple days due to a much more rigorous app review policy.

Cheers!

No tune at that time; Active A8 which was uninstalled prior to the dealer visit.

This weekend no A8 and FBO so I'm surprised I had temporary idle issues.

How do you know if you have a bad cable or not? My cable in windows 10 keeps saying "identifying" and it doesnt get a valid IP at all. Windows and router firewalls off.

Try booting up the laptop with cable plugged in and car in acc on position with seatbelt engaged.

Sometimes this tricks the laptop into forcing to negotiate a new ip.

Thanks for the tip. My computer sees the cable, but it cant get a valid ip from it for some reason.

I even tried a USB to network port adapter I had for my kids Nintendo Switch too. Just to rule out my new laptops networking card. I had the same result.

I either have a bad cable. Or Im missing something.

About to try another laptop.

My brand new alienware R15 with killer networking card did not work with the cable.

But my sons older XP laptop worked perfectly fine.

So if anyone's cable wont passthrough internet, try another laptop. It worked for me.

Are you guys preparing documentation for less experienced or first time users? I appreciate the enthusiasm here but some of it is alien speak.

For ex. I知 computer literate but haven稚 kept up with the progress you guys made. I壇 appreciate a step by step description, instructions, glossary of terms etc.

Keep up the good work!

Edit: I may have found a descriptive post, hope what he did is correct...

I use my AW 15R3 for all my coding, I had to use the CMD as Admin and reset the IP along with renew. You can find a link for the command prompt entries below.

I also had to make sure I updated the Killer networks drivers. Older drivers gave me troubles with drop outs and such.

Hopefully it helps you out.

Hey thank you very much. I checked my drivers and they are the most recent from Dell. I will try your suggestion and see if it solves my issue. If not, at least I have it working. Win/win.

Thanks again!
