The "Color Regrets" phenomenon. Anyone?

After having an AW before I didn't want white again until I saw MW. It was different enough from AW so I picked it instantly. However my next car definitely won't be white.

Just came back from Peters first ever school run. I love the color now more than ever, I dont have to deal with the mums all year if the looks tell the whole story correctly!

My car is AW and I love it. It was a Dealer order and had no real choice in color since I wasn't going to order a car as this one was equipped exactly as I wanted it. Had I ordered it would have been between AW, YMB and SS. AW and SS would have had SO interior and YMB would have been black. I love the SO full leather interior, think it looks great. I also like blue cars with red interior, my 14' 911S was dark blue with full red leather. I just can't get into the YMB and red. Maybe if I saw in person?

But the SS and YMB both look incredible in photos to me. Have not seen either in person tho.

American women drive? Really - I need to talk to my wife. I think she has driven 1:20000 of the miles I have driven her.

Then again this could be a blessing she did hit a fire hydrant somehow pulling into a parking spot..... Still not sure where that parking spot is that shares a space with a fire hydrant.

I wanted a fun but not super flashy color and hope SO does it for me. Only saw it person on an M6, but that was enough. Hope you are enjoying it!

In my opinion it draws attention as it is quite different to any other colour. It also appears to dramatically change colour in full sunlight and shade.

My video shows it as red and orange, but it isn't, it's more of an orangey brown.

I love the colour, AY, would probably have been my second choice but this is the colour I really wanted.

I'm on the fence now with AW and SO. AW is a classic and safe color choice. SO though has me intrigued but I prefer the red orange in the photos to the supposed reality that it is really a rusty orange brown in person. I've seen it in person on an M6 gran coupe but I don't think I'll fully have the right idea unless I can see an actual M3 with it.

I've had two silver cars and regretted it both times. Never regretted black or white. The M3 is YMB, which I was very concerned about, but I absolutely love it. It's very unique too and I've had a ton of compliments on the color.

I was originally going to order either Mineral White or Alpine White which I had seen on M3 sedans but I wanted a (M4) coupe so I went to the dealer in Elk Grove to see an M4. It was a launch vehicle, Sahkir Orange with the SO and black full leather interior, DCT and a lot of expensive options I didn't want or need. The color was awsome. A few days later I wen back and ordered one like it but with 6MT and without the expensive(!) carbon ceramic brake option and a couple of other expensive packages. It goes into production Week 38, the week of Sept 15, and hopefully I will take delivery in early November. I would not have ordered that color had I not seen one in real. The photos do not do it justice.

I DID see a SO M4 in real, that's why I ordered one with the full leather SO interior. Had I not seen an actual car in SO first, I would have ordered either MW or AW with the SB interior.

i know everyone says that the s/o color is hard to capture. i washed mine this morning and noted how the sun hit the car really made the true color pop. thought id share it here.

Well done; I'm beginning to wish I'd ordered SO interior, but I'm happy with black. My dealer said it would have been too much orange, but you know what these BMW dealers are like, none of them are fans of bold colours and I think they should all dress in grey suits, grey shirts and grey ties to match their prefered colours!

Am feeling pretty good about my paint choice (mineral white). The one giving me second thoughts is the interior leather. Ordered with full black but I kinda like the SO and SS.
