The DSC / rear diff and suspension changes could turn out to be pretty meaningful ?

If there was a mode that is better than euro MDM that allows more leeway at higher speeds, and if the revised adaptive suspension was competitive with an aftermarket full coilover system I would be interested

As is stands, from the limited info, I would rather get some aftermarket 18s that fit 305 wide rear tires, choose my own exhaust, and replace the stock passive suspension with full coilovers rather than by this

Very good point. M3s are generally exceptional due to the sum of the parts. We know the ZCP parts now but not the sum. I.e how different/better is a ZCP car to drive?

But I agree, I am not super excited either.
In fairness...I suppose I would say the F10 comp pack needed more because the original car was not perceived to be great to drive.

I think the F8X is in better shape going into the comp pack so, I guess, less to change.

If I were ordering a new car right now, I might go this route but....I feel zero desire to change up my ride.

....which is probably the right balance for BMW to hit, I guess. Don't make the early buyers regret their car, but find a way to squeeze more $$$ out of the next wave....

I doubt that the CP will make as much difference on the F8X as it did on the M5.

The M5 initially received rather lukewarm reviews in terms of handling, there was more room for improvements to be made.

But I agree, lets wait and see .

I am still hoping they're talking about updated seats with cut-outs for a harness, not the US GTS ones. I am probably wrong but I can still hope until it's official. This has been the issue holding me back from upgrading my E90 M3.

If they bring harness friendly seats, I'll be ordering one in a heartbeat.

I actually agree with you. As you said, the M5 was so-so at best to begin with, not to mention they changed a whole bunch of bushings and I believe gave it a different steering rack. I've always maintained the M3/4 would never be as comprehensive as that, but I'm also surprised that it wasn't more on the mild side like the E9x.

At this point in time, I'm really not sure what I'd pick if I had to choose between Individual paint or ZCP. But I'm more than willing to wait to find out. Maybe it'll have to be both.

But those seats though...

My upcoming M3 started production today and I am glad I did not wait for this ZCP. Honestly the only 2 things that really mattered for me in the e92 ZCP were the drop and the beautiful wheels.
Now it seems that there is no drop and those wheels, well let's just say they would be kinda ok if I never saw the current 437 wheels.

So now we just wait for videos of Spengler and Co. honing around the ring in ZCP cars gushing over it's improvements and we'll hear about 5s faster lap times

Do we think there will be actual hardware changes and if not, is there any chance newer M's can be coded to have this activated similar to Euro-MDM?

If the car isn't lighter than the stock M4, then the "Competition Package" M4 is just a collectors item. On the other hand, if it is lighter then it might actually be faster. Even with only a minor power increase.

Keep in mind that pricing is purely speculative at this point...

Also, as I mentioned in a separate thread, if you were going to tick off the option boxes for Adaptive M susp and larger wheels anyway, the effective price of the ZCP (er...um...7MK) is reduced by $2200.

Possibly, or, it could be that those Leather seats delete the 7MK seats and replace them with the standard seats.
