With that said, We are still in the clear for no SCH (from normal circumstances; no driver error involved) while using CBC. |

Haha, exactly this! The parts didn't fail. The driver effed up. He even said so himself. This is on him, not the car. Drive any high powered car to redline in fourth and try slamming it into third with your foot down. I'll wait.

The point of having a cbc on is saving ur self from paying 4000$ to repair what u been revving on. It's not necessary a broken crank hub that one didn't predict happen.

Just installed my CBC at European Auto Source! Kevin and the guys there are top notch!
I also ordered the VTT full crank hub solution for BF (half off baby!) directly from Vargas, but they said that they had over 100 orders so it was gonna take awhile to ship out. So I just bought another CBC at EAS and will probably sell my new CBC when I get it. |

I'll be doing the CBC just for the "peace of mind". I encountered a couple people that suffered SCH after they did an E85 tune and upgraded tires to R888R. |

I think this might be the first reported failure in the presence of CBC. Based on the thread, it had aftermarket turbos with a custom tune, VTT V1 spline lock hub with CBC:

Yep! Had a V1 used with a CBC slip. Slip occurred on the racetrack. Car is a DCT, was on a 100 octane tune and owner would have to check logs but guesstimates 30 psi when discussing on the phone (don't hold him/me to that number). Bill's case is the first reported one.
V2 is a much more aggressive way to go, which is why it's backed by the no-slip guarantee when installed by an authorized installer. Any questions or concerns shoot me an email and I'll be happy to help you out. Chris |
