My car is stronger in bottom end and mid range than his. He cuts the distance down in the top end. If I went back to map 6 I would have stronger top end. Andrew at AA told me max boost on map 5 is 21.7 and map 6 is 22 psi. Like how linear the power is with Active 8.

The dyno's for the Active 8 seem to show an increase in power below 3000 RPM. Is that the case? Increases from the flash tunes and JB4 start at 3k and go from there. Is there more low end boost in the Active 8?

We can configure it anyway we like but we starting increasing boost around 2k. Keep in mind With our full exhaust we have made 360 Wheel tq at 3k rpm +40 Wtq due to less restrictions allowing the turbo to spool quicker.

With Active you have the option to pick any map from very conservative to super aggressive
All in all, which one would you recommend? AA or JB Stage 1?

Thanks

How many maps are there? You are set to 6 so what kind of power are you looking at? Roughly.

Thanks

Depends on what you are looking for

AA offers more than the stage 1 JB but is almost double the price

quick summary:

JB stage 1, very easy and quick install ... +4 psi

AA tune more like a stage 1.5 with similar power than the JB stage 1 but a smoother delivery(install is medium difficulty)

JB4 offers more than both but has the a more complex install

The JB Stage1 is an additive mapping system, so it adds boost throughout the entire power band.

What makes the AA tune smoother? I thought the only difference was the rpm sensor, and it seems the added boost is somewhat consistent through the rpm range?

Correct the AA connects to the cam sensor and can add boost by rpm ... Based on our customers and forum users, AA power delivery is very smooth compared to other stage 1

Note: When i said AA is smoother, i meant compared to the JB stage 1 and not the JB4

So you can order the full JB4 and this would be the equivalent to MAP1?

Jb4 with map 1 is equivalent to JB stage 1 for the S55 (plus all the extra features of course)

So BMS stage 1 gives 30-50whp (roughly 40) is that with 93 or 91 octane? I live in Cali and we have 91 so what should I expect for gains? Also if I get jb4 map 2 with vrsf DP's and full awe system what should I expects numbers to be in the ballpark with 91 octane as I'm assuming most these numbers and graphs are with 93 or higher?

Does anyone know of the BMS stage 1 uses the BC buttons for any settings? I believe the JB4 uses this to cycle through the different MAPS. Reason I ask is because I have the Macht Schnell electronic valve controller with also uses the BC button to cycle through the valve programs. I would like to install the stage 1 on top of my EVC module. Thanks in advance.

No the Stage1 does not use the buttons, as that requires CAN access which only the JB4 has.

The stage1 only has one map, so there is no cycling needed.

Stage 1 will add +4 psi whether you are on 91 or 93, gains should be similar for both octanes

Looking at dyno below, DP + JB4 on map 1 should give you close to ~480 whp
