I've been researching users experience with MSS HAS springs. There was one review on an F80 where the front coils were making contact and chipping off the paint. This was on the M3cutters forum based on the new design where adjuster is on the bottom.

https://forums.m3cutters.co.uk/threa....222370/page-9

I know the G80 is a different platform but multiple users there of MSS springs had similar issue with the coils hitting each other.

I really want to match MSS Springs with the Evolve x Bilstein dampers but this specific issue is holding me back.

Is it normal for the coils to be touching like that?

It’d be interesting to hear from someone who has tested both the original b6 and evolves to know what tangible differences there are.

Bilstein UK/Germany actually provide 2 years warranty which is what we provide.
Hello, how long will they be discounted? Thanks

Hello, I went ahead and ordered them, thanks. I'm looking forward to having them installed on my 3CS, the car already has the MSS HAS kit

Definitely come back and update with your thoughts. Would love to hear an objective opinion.

How do you like your current set up currently, how’s the ride comfort and adjustability?

Sure. it will be a while before I have valuable feedback. And I'm new to this platform. I can't drive in comfort, scrapes everywhere, road hazards(pot holes, etc) are just that. I do my best to avoid them, but can't miss them all.

Well, at least provide pictures. Would love to see the stance with the MSS springs!
Thanks.

Same size as factory struts.

We ran a very aggressive 19x11 on the rear our F80 with no issues.

Okay, I had the Evolve shocks installed last Friday. A big shout out to Robert at Chewerks. He did the install, corner balance and alignment. It's a noticeable improvement. My car handles great. I've only driven it in sport mode. It's stiffer. I'm not a race car driver. I would say that it's compliant, and predictable. It's not the lowest car on the forum. The height isn't something that I was considering. It's great for our bumpy roads. The old lady might not love it. I'm sure that it will be fine in efficient mode. I will add photos when I get the car clean and firgure out how to post pictures. ps the diy mechanic that I bought the car from had the rake and alignment off. It's what I expected. Thanks to the guys at Evolve. Shipping was fast. I'm a happy customer

Well I got my Evolve B6's installed put about 100 miles on them and I have to say I love them so far. I can only drive in sport mode I have a Suspension malfunction . Im gonna take the wheels off and recheck connectors . Does anyone know what part number is LT/RT ? I checked Bilstein website they have Lt/Rt part numbers for standard B6's not sure if it matters with the Evolve. Im wondering if I crossed them and that causing the malfunction ?

When I installed mine I had pinched one of the wires on the top of the rear shock. If you have or know someone that has ISTA-D then you should be able to read the codes to figure out which sensor or wire is problematic.

Thank you!! Thats absolutely what happened . Left rear shock had a damaged connector pinched wire. I had my car in for service at BMW last year under warranty for leaking left axle when I pulled the left shock I noticed the wire was pinched and the top of the connector damaged when I opened the housing. The wire was damaged because they didn't put the pigtail inside the shock mount housing to protect it, the connector looked stepped on unbelievable !! So im thinking when I pulled everything apart that was it for the wire. I had a feeling that was the issue after checking all other connectors. I took it back off put a multimeter on it and no continuity . Ordered one from BMW threw it on this morning everything working so far on start up no codes " Chassis Function Restricted" and suspension modes now showing . Gonna test drive in a few

Hello, are these suitable for an F87 M2 Competition? I have retrofitted EDC to the car but I'm looking for dampers to use.

What about stock springs, or what spring rates would be recommended if I were to go MSS for the F87 M2C? I'm wanting to keep stock ride height and add more comfort (extremely bad roads here) so overall these sound more ideal than something like the B16 EDC coilovers.

Thanks!

They’ll fit your M2C with EDC retrofitted if your current EDC functions correctly, and is the F8x M3/M4 struts.

MSS would be my recommendation for maximum ride comfort, and they can be set to factory height.

Sorry haven't been out and about since I got the car back to snap nicer photos. Took a few quick ones while in the garage. Height-wise, I purposely went with form & function since I don't want to destroy my front lip and I don't much care for being that low. I had my shop do a 5mm drop from factory measurements. Also I believe I'm running ~ -2 degree front camber. 265/35 & 285/35 19s.
I really am leaning to trying this setup, and my only concern is the ride hide (though I don’t slam my cars).
Is the height in your picture the max drop with the MSS springs, or could they have gone any lower?

Here is an example of my current stance on MP-HAS. I would not want to be higher.

It will probably sit similar to that, maybe a tad higher at the front.

Here’s a video of an F80 M3 that we just installed our Evolve B6 EDC dampers and MSS springs, front set all the way down but 0 miles on the springs so more settling to come.
