There is zero reason not to offer Carrera T. It is the sole cause of the base 911 not having a MT option nor the PTV plus.

I've done a complete 180 on the G82 design. I hated the front entirely then grew to like it. At first I thought the G80 was the better looking between the two (M3 vs M4) but after much thought the G82 stated to make more sense, most noticeably in the rear 1/4 of the car. On the G80, the rear flares out awkwardly close to the rear door in my subjective opinion. That in mind the G82 seems more cohesive. I took delivery this week and while my F80 M3 CS pretty much got universal praise from everyone that's approached me, I'm ready for the hate with my new car. Its very similar to driving my beloved i3, which has its own controversies.

Photos from my first few days of ownership, more to come:
Nice car! Congrats!

I like it, except for the colors but that is personal and not relevant. I was talked into full leather and agree with people so maybe add that?

I would attempt to drive it to see if there is anything you need to add in.

Color is a personal thing but yeah Green and Gold isn't doing it for me lol but I'm boring

Yea, if I'm ordering a 911 for ED, it's gonna be something silly. I love the green and have always wanted gold rims...found a GT4 in that setup and it actually works. I'd never go for the full leather, but the 18 ways might be an add on because I'd want to be able to get the seats as flat (parallel to the ground) as possible and I think the standard ones will be too raked for me.

Honestly the full leather is a must. The 992 interior without it looks like an entry level F30 3/4-Series. No thanks! The moment I sat is a 992 with the base interior I knew I could not live with it.

Tesla now selling more cars in the US than BMW:
Cox Automotive estimates put the figure at 352,471 for 2021. BMW – the usual leader – sold 336,644. Lexus came in third, at 304,476. Mercedes missed the podium, selling 276,102 vehicles in the U.S. in 2021.
Most of Teslas sales came from just two models – the electric automaker sold more than 190,000 Model Y SUVs and nearly 122,000 Model 3 sedans.
In a related story, BMW building EV Pickup*

It's interesting...because it doesn't really do anything for me. I would pay for retrograde leather bolsters and houndstooth cloth centers within reason.

Compared to the BMW interiors I feel the same way, but the base 992 interior and textures just really feel $30k car instead of $100k car. At least with the full leather there's a premium feel to it.

Go to your Home Screen then click "discover phase"

If your Home Screen (not the journey) shows "production completed" then you go to discover phase.

It just says that my car is scheduled for production and has the stock app photos and stuff. I guess I have to wait for it to update.

This is great, everyone’s building 911’s.
Go with a darker shade wheel.
Will help the green pop more, even when it’s dirty.
Go Carrera S if you can, otherwise not talking anyone out of a flat six.

The only darker wheel I like is the RS...but I am tired of wheel cleaning...M788s! I'd rather go with the rims in silver and then add the silver window trim for a retro look.

Iron Off will cut your wheel cleaning duties in half. That product works GREAT! Spray it on and let it sit for 5 mins, then rinse your wheels off with the spray nozzle attachment. I would say at least 90% of the oil, dirt and grime come completely off without even touching the wheels.

I wouldn't even consider the base model purely because of its open diff. One-wheel peel in a 100+k 911, no, thanks.

Re washing

If you've got no pressure washer, then a more aggressive cleaner works a treat, but even my hobby pressure washer gets rid of the vast majority of road grime on the wheels without using anything else. Then a simple once over with a car shampoo is more than enough. If wheels are ceramic coated, even better, but it's not necessary. I use iron remover and tar removers once a year when swapping wheels (or whenever needed).
