Yes, Genius can tell you, including your VIN.

Awesome...yours might have started before mine, as mine still isn't updated on the site. An employee from BMWNA that I had emailed got back to me this morning and said it went into production this morning, then my CA emailed me the same thing. I'm not doing PCD. I didn't know about any of that stuff when I ordered the car, nor was I told about it.. My port of entry is Baltimore, then pick up in Chicago. I'm glad yours started because I know you were pushed back a lot as well. I hope you all get your cars ASAP so you can enjoy them. It's my first BMW, and I was in love with the car the moment I sat in it. Can't wait to drive it daily.

thanks buddy. mine never got pushed. it just took literally 2months to get started. i guess because of color.

anyway, your dealer didn't inform you about PCD? it's a bit disappointing to hear that. i think you should try another dealer next time. doesn't sound like your guy was all in with you, which sucks. if you were buying a 328 i'd expect them to not really disclose it. lol.

No, he didn't inform me about anything. ED, PCD, nothing. I'd have liked to do at least the PCD because this is a special car, and a special time for me..I was told to hurry up and order so I could get in a 2016, so I did, put the money down and that was it. Next M will come from somewhere else, and I'll do it right. This forum is a great place though, good people. Nobody has M cars where I live, I've seen maybe 2. It would be nice to meet up with some guys that have them though.

Since your car is in production and hasn't been assigned a ship yet, you can absolutely still do a PCD. I would contact your CA asap and say you want to take delivery at the Performance Center. They can still add it and get the car assigned to a ship going to the right port.

when is your car scheduled to finish? mine is next Wednesday.

Well Gentlemen, I am no longer getting a 16 M3. My production number was just a tease and BMW has decided not to schedule me for production. No reason given.

I am now Order Status 047 for a 17 M3 and was told distribution will push my order asap.

So, what is the worst part of this.........WAITING!!!

ugh, what is 047?

so no production # yet?

i just emailed my salesman to get update on my car in it's prod cycle, its suppose to be done wednesday, hopefully it's on track.

No assigned production number. The order is in the order bank, when the next allocation is released to the dealer, then this order should take the open allocation. Distribution is going to try and push it as soon as possible (not sure what that really means, I'm hopeful I'll hear something soon with a production number.)
