They are waiting on some super engineer to have a look.

To be fair HJ in Warrington are doing what they can. They have kept in touch and kept me up to date.

I feel it's BMW letting them down, making them jump through hoops, etc.

I have had no response still from customer services or finance services, terrible service.

My dealer has been good as well and like you I am now waiting on the regional tech manager to have a look at it.. No idea when he will turn up..

Bad on BMW financial and customer services, cannot believe no one has contacted you..

I just want a rough idea of when mine will be back but they cannot give it to me, bit like you.

Exactly the same, very frustrating.

Even started to look at alternatives should the worse happen.

Probably the same person!

I really love the M3 that I have as a loan car, spec is pretty crap but it drives so well which is why I don't want to give up on it just yet as there is nothing else for the money.

However if it comes out and still not fixed the keys will be handed back and I will be looking at the AMG range

They had better sort this out soon or it will be another repeat customer down. This M3 is my 5th BMW since 2013.

Have you driven one? I would be very interested to hear what it's like. I had an E350 amg cdi for 3 years and loved it, didn't rattle or breakdown in fact it only ever went in for a service. Not the best thing to drive but I couldn't fault it.

Nope, never even looked at them before. But the way things are going i'll take my money elsewhere.

So I think my car is getting resemblances of a knocking noise as of today, a bit faint at the moment but i feel the rear dampers aren't working as they should - the rear feels like jelly over bumps - will hold out to see what happens with you guys before i take it in as its my daily and don't want to be stuck with a 320d...

I have it in the loan M3 (non cp) i have, it's even worse that it was in my M4

Mine is not being looked at until new year. I'm giving them till the end of the first week in Jan to have a confirmed appointment.

If not then I'm rejecting the car, I have had enough.

Only benefit is being able to go to the shops at this time of year and not care about the parking.

LCI rear dampers are the same whether CP or non IIRC, I have a faint knocking from the rear over bumps and ripples etc...and the car feels awful at the moment, rear traction is hilariously absent at times it steps out randomly at low speeds and it's rattling like an old tin can (standard).

I don't find the traction too bad infact I found it better in the m3 non cp (continental) than my M4 cp with mpss

If BMW fix mine (and the rattles) I will be getting a set of 19" 437 with continentals...

If it's bad get it in, the more cases of this the sooner BMW will get it sorted!!

Scott, is the one you've got at the moment an M3 non-CP? If so, maybe there are subtle differences that you are picking up on over your M4.
I recall you said my M3 "seemed" different in a couple of things against your M4.
I think you said mine seemed less harsh.

Although I dont doubt the 19s are helping, as commented by a few on here.

Yes a non cp M3 and I am amazed at how different it is. Would love to try the loan car an M4 non cp and M3 CP back to back as I think it would they would all be very different

If I had my time again I would 100% go for the M3 as the 4 doors makes a huge difference plus I think it's slightly better damped..
