Not a bad value At all, I actually like the rims but them being 20" is a deal breaker. That's just too big and ride comfort will be much worse.
Black kidneys are 450 from Bmw so if you factor in that as well. 450 1200 on wheels 1000 for suspension that's 2650 in upgrades. So another 2850 for the seats , wheels and power upgrade is a great deal. |

I've said so many times that I knew that the ZCP would bump the power to 444. I've posted that so many times here on Bimmerpost. Folks called me crazy. BMW has turned into Baravian Marketing works. Come on...444HP. REALLY??? How ironic is that??? Clearly, this is to make the M4 acceptable.
That being said, I hope they offer the original wheels for $3500. Not a fan of these. I've been waiting for the comp package and this is going to Rock AMGs world!!! Let the games begin!!! |

Can I change the wheels? I think I'd buy a ZCP. Changes are comprehensive. Did they lower the car 10mm like they did with the e92?
The F80 already has a hard time putting power down. Does it come with wider rubber at the rear? |

Same with the seats. BMW is not giving you 2 sets of seats so since you're only getting 1 set of seats, they're charging you the marginal cost of the "ZCP" seats over the normal seats. This marginal cost is embedded within the $5k. Likewise, the car already comes with a base set of 18s and since they're not giving you 2 sets of wheels, the marginal cost of the 20" wheels over the 18s is what you're paying for in the cost of the CP package. Same idea for the new suspension components. This is why it's more cost effective (less expensive) to simply purchase the package up front rather than retrofitting down the line. If you order the package with the car, you're only paying the incremental cost of all the upgrades. On the flip side, if you choose to upgrade further down the line, you'll have to pay for the full value of the seats+wheels+black cosmetic items+suspension which will definitely cost more than $5k, understandably, and you'll have 2 sets of items: the standard components that originally came with the car and the "new" items. In the latter case, you'll have to sell some of the original components to offset the cost of the new ones. Long story short, if you're gonna do it anyway, might as well order it directly from the factory! |

It is likely the next generation M3 would be just around the corner by the time it comes.

It says "front: 265/30 R20, rear: 285/30 R20". That is slightly wider in the rear.

Although it costs more, I like the fact that it has more distinguishable features than the e92 zcp did. One can easily replicate the look of a zcp e92 by getting lci tails, eibachs, and 359 rims. It will be harder/costly to convert a non zcp f82 to zcp. Also my guess on why BMW went with those controversial wheels is that it looks like it'll be harder for third party wheel companies to replicate. You get more "exclusivity" with the f8x zcp on top of the added performance, which would be a selling point in my eyes.

It's still early and the weather still isn't as great as it could be, but the GT4 is a load of fun. I had just resolved to keep my E92 long-term when it was announced, and I wouldn't have gotten rid of it for anything else. The GT4 just seemed too perfect to pass up. I'm still getting a feel for it having only recently finished the break-in and getting warmer weather around here, but it's already abundantly clear that I'll never get a clear feel for this car until I get to a track where I can experiment more safely. If the weather cooperates, I'll be able to run it around CotA on Feb 7, and if so I should be able to give you a ride if you want to come out!

100km/h = 62mph, so 0-100km/h takes a few more tenth than 0-60mph. Check what release you are quoting, because the 3.8 number is for the 0-100km/h (0-62mph), not 0-60mph. You are also mixing up European power (hp DIN or PS) with US power (hp SAE): Base M4 = 431ps = 425hp M4 CP = 450ps = 444hp M4 GTS = 500ps = 493hp
