My appointment is tomorrow around noon. I'll decide when I get there if I go darker in the rear and post good pictures when it's done.

I've never once had an issue. I don't think it gives cops a reason to pull you over. I don't think they have the ability to see the difference from 20 to 28.

Also, I've spoken to many cops and they say it's a bigger issue when your an older beat up car. New cars don't get many problems as long as your not in the 10 range or super reflective.

Just got her tinted yesterday. I went with 50% front / 15% rear. If anyone else wants to know how it looks with different tint front/rear on an M3, well here you go. I'm pretty happy with how it looks, not too dark on the side windows so shouldn't attract too much attention, not any more than the bright blue will.

And a good 3/4 view

Looks good. I'm doing 50% all around as we speak. How do you get by with no front plate? I'm debating whether or not to put one on the tow hook.

Honestly...By crossing my fingers...lol. I just can not justify putting holes in this bumper. I could not justify doing that in my e46 M3 either. Did not put a plate in that car for four years. Got pulled over a few times, but I think it is worth not putting holes in the bumper.

I agree. I am in a college town. Police all over. Def won't be drilling holes. But have a usmillworks frame ready. Still would like to keep it plate-less though :-/

AW car here, not planning on tint. I have and use the side/rear shades and they block quite a bit. I don't see that well at night and tinted windows really don't help things.

Living in Texas, we obligatory tint within a week of purchase. After nearly a year, it's held up perfectly well.

I've got Full Black Leather interior *and* the CF roof. I've tinted all of my previous cars; however, without a sunroof to allow some light in the car the interior already looks pretty dark. I've decided to pass on tint this time around.
