More or less yes. Premium Sound was the upgrade equivalent (..not necessarily in terms of performance, but just on the options sheet) of getting HK on the E46 for example.

A drop and aggressive offsets and this car will look amazing... Now if I can select an individual color like frozen gray and I will be all set.

68-70k with options I want (executive pkg, dct, 19 inch wheel, and hk audio)."

E90 M3:

Base: $55,400
Metallic paint: $550
DCT: $2900
19" wheels: $1250
Premium sound: $1900
Destination :$875

So far so good at $62,875

Now, let's look at the executive package.

248 – Heated Steering Wheel
322 – Comfort Access keyless entry
3AG – Rear-view camera
502 – Retractable headlight washers
508 – Park Distance Control
610 – Head-up Display
655 – Satellite radio with 1 year subscription
LK – Extended Merino Leather
or X3 – Full Merino Leather

Translate to E90 M3 options you get:
Cold weather package: $1000
Convenience pkg: $2900
Premium package 2: $2,500

You still need to add HUD and Rear view camera at maybe $1000 + $500

So ~ $8000

Total: 70,875 if this was an E90 M3 with a base price of $55,400.
My guess for this F80 build: $75k. Hopefully I'm wrong.
I probably hope this is what i will pay for the M4/M3. More than that I rather save the money and buy the used one later.

Highly doubt they'll have a frozen gray out that soon, but probably a limited edition.

if not, custom vinyl wrap

but i regret not getting mine in frozen gray,
saw one with red interior and it's just

I actually considered a Frozen Black 2013 right after I sold the 2013 X5 (..and prior to picking up the 2014 335i). The only reason that I didn't was because I thought it would be silly to buy a third E9X M3 when the F8X was on the horizon. It looked good though!

Sir if you have the money for it, it is never silly to buy extra bmw's

but yeah, E9X is not worth buying at 2013 when they were having rumors of a 2014 M4 and 2015 M3

unless the e9x motor was a must for you

was the frozen black done by dealer ?
because from my understanding the frozen black was the limited edition, or does bmw now just vinyl wrap.
the limited edition was alittle faster and blacked out completely but cost a little more as there was a limited make of it
i think they were called Frozen Editions

and in Euro they had the frozen grey, uggghhh so sexy

Without comfort access, can you still start the car with the key in your pocket?
I don t mind using the remote to unlock doors.

No, key needs to be in the slot.

No, that's not entirely true. I had an F10 5-Series loaner without CA. It would still start without the key in the slot, but you needed to use the buttons on the remote to open the doors (..it was like 50% of CA). This has been discussed in other threads before.

No. Must insert key in slot in dash.

At least where the 5-Series is concerned, yes....it will start with the key in your pocket. The CA on the 3 may vary however.

Yes, in 2010 it was $3,000 upcharge for E92 vs. E90.

I'm not vested in any particular motor configuration, so I really don't care.........as long as it goes fast and offers me a visceral experience. The Frozen Black was ordered that way; SoCal dealers are known for getting the special cars (..which you should know since you live here). It wasn't a wrap. In fact, McKenna BMW had 5 frozen cars on the lot at that time (..two M5's, two M6's and the E9X M3).

LOL! It wasn't broken. Like I said, it could be an F10 thing as it's considered up-market compared to a 3.

lol. Maybe.

I just read that after taking the key out you can still start it for a range of time but I don't think it would work from the get go.

the 5 series and 6 series come frozen from factory and it's not very limited, just ordered that way by dealer.
saw a bunch here at Beverly bmw as well even an x series in vinyl frozen

But the E9X M3's were limited, i remember less than 200 made that way.
now wasn't sure if bmw now allows dealers to order them vinyl wrapped. I just assumed you were talking about considering the limited edition Frozen black, which you might have been lol. maybe your dealer was lucky enough to have the frozen edition in.

No, no wraps. It was the actual Frozen Black that I was considering, but I wasn't willing to shell out $80k for an M3 because of a special paint..
