so i was dropping a friend from school off and his little bro (5 yrs old) came out and wanted a ride so i took us 3 to a nearby open parking lot and did my first ever donut. it was fun but tbh i dont think it was worth the stress or the rubber.

(p.s one of my dads friends saw this and snitched on me, things got pretty heated but i am good at talking my way out of things and luckily only got a 1 week ban from driving it with the excuse that i just wanted to make a 5 yr old kid happy lol)

That was more "doh" than donut lol.
Secondly, guessing that was your dads car? Ya, don't ever record that stuff, easier to
"talk your way out of things" with no video evidence haha

The problem isn't the donut in the parking lot, it was the lack of judgement in taking a 5yr old without a carseat and possibly getting hurt in a crash on the road. If i was your dad I'd probably take the car away for 30 days due to the liability I was being exposed too.

I don't think this will be your last time fucking around with TCS turned off.

I am calling total BS that this is the first time with TC off and or the last time either.

So glad there were no cell phones or internet forums when I was a kid.

Instead of what you did, burning rubber is fun, also! Do it before you are due for a new set of tires or if you can afford now.

Well that's a little better then. I amend your punishment to the same as your father's. And only because you fessed up lol.

Just be safe. I never wrecked a car doing stupid stuff, but a lot of my friends did and got seriously hurt.

I agree. The only people who knew of the stupid shit we did were the other morons with us at the time, or the cops seeing us. I once had a cop follow me down our driveway. He saw me get about 5ft of air going over this huge rise in the road that we always took as a jump in our trucks. This time it was perfect, and when the came over he asked me if I thought I was Evel Knievil.

If you live with them and they can "take the car away/tell you when you can drive it" it is
"THEIR" car and they let you drive it.

DSC off isn't just for burnouts or drifting. It's for people with experience to take the car near or to it's limits without the nannies getting in the way, including launching and high performance driving.

For reference, I don't turn DSC completely off unless I'm on the track. MDM is just fine street or backroads driving.

This. As you rip through corners and the weight of the car shifts, it throws off the balance and center of gravity. Dsc isn't just based off tires spinning, it's extremely smart, especially in the new M's. It limits the way power is delivered based off how stable the car is in that moment around a corner.

If you were told to rip through a corner as fast as humanly possible and were a phenomenal driver, the time with DSC on would always be slower, even MDM, then the time you'd get with DSC fully off.

Even if you're not drifting or sliding around.

Whole point of DSC is so we don't end up in guard rails and trees because these cars are powerful af.

DSC isn't turned off just to drift and hoon around, it's turned off if both these conditions are met

1) you want to optimize times and push the car to it's limit

2) you know what you're doing
