Time to Part ways..
I thought I was going to keep the m4 for a long time, but I made a mistake and test drove the x7 5.0... i know I know completely two different cars..
I own a Honda ridgeline, by far the best pick I ever owned, super comfy.. i also own a 2020 jeep Grand cherokee v8 r/t and the m4, its getting crowded with to many options. I figured the Jeep and m4 must go. The kids and the wife will definitely appreciate the size and comfort of the x7. I find my self driving the Honda alot more and I dont think a machine like the m4 should collect dust, its made to be driven, and the gentleman who is taking the car is a BMW enthusiast, so that makes me feel good. But who knows what next summer will bring, definitely not the g8x, maybe another f82, but convertible. We shall see. But I must say, you guys in the f8x section rock, you are all passionate about your cars and enjoy every moment of your lives, no one knows what tomorrow will bring. Life is to short to drive boring cars, all the best. |

No more kids in the house for me. Had a 2020 x5 as a loaner. It was nice. I'm not sure how I would do if I it was my daily. I still drive spiritedly and I still rip around on my Zx10. I could see perhaps an M5 or X3M |

I totally feel you OP, Sometimes I feel my 2020 regular cab 5.0 F-150 feels more enjoyable as a daily than my M4 (Maybe I'm just getting old lol) Congrats and enjoy it in good health, in the end we have to do what works better for us, life is too short and it's all about the family.

Glad to know there are others who can appreciate both a ridgeline and M3/4. I am on the fence of selling my M3 as i don’t drive it enough. I was thinking of moving to one do it all vehicle. However, for the incremental cost of a new high end suv, I can keep my manual M3 and get a ridgeline. I like ridgeline for the AWD and the ability to fit in the garage. There aren’t many alternatives for that type of truck or a manual sedan with 400+ hp.

I could never have one vehicle to do it all because that vehicle doesn't exist. Its the reason I split time between my 2020 Tacoma and M3. Sometimes I want or need to tool around in the truck, other times I want to get silly in the M3.
And please for the love of love, do not get a Ridgeline - its just so soft. Its for the guy who was just about to buy a Pilot, then said "I'm gettin a "pickup" instead. Do the Colorado ZR2 or the Tacoma. |
