Help! In the market for Intakes
So I’m currently in the market,
I have seen the previous posts but can’t really decide which I’m leaning towards VSFR vs Injen And with these 2 options you know why I’m picking them so please don’t flood the post with eventuri as it will not help me decide So I guess the question is which one would you choose? Or would you choose other? And WHY? And please don’t say cause it looks cool and eventuri is just the best.. personally going for the woosh sound but could be influenced to other 😂 Last edited by tanmanbih; 09-25-2020 at 10:48 PM.. |

I think the real question is what are you looking for? If you want a premium, stock like look with amazing fitment go with the injen.
If you're looking for more noise, low cost, possibly more heat-soak go for VRSF. I have VRSF with the bottom parts of the intake boxes still in to draw cold air from the front, works great, sounds great, nice short intake tract (best for turbo response, less pumping losses). It's worth noting you won't see any difference in power from the stock intake, just a little bit better transient response. Unless you're tuning and already making a good amount of extra power... |

You've got a typo.
VRSF has two types...a simple under hood setup with cone filters and heat shields, and then a full front mount setup. Which one? Injen has the under hood cones and heat shields. Shields are a plus. Don't forget to check out MST. Even better heat control

None of the above - remove the charcoal elements from the stock intakes and replace the paper filters with BMC low-restriction units (oiled-cotton K&N type). Won't make noise, but will supply the same amount of airflow as the aftermarket units without drawing from hot underhood air.

Because it seems senseless spending money to lose performance just to make noise. Sucking hot air from under the hood raises the intake air temperature, which will cause the ECU to hold back boost and ignition timing. If he's that desperate for noise, he can try the old Porsche trick of cutting holes in the stock intake boxes. That's why.

+1 for Injen, it's one of the loudest and highest quality intakes on the market
