Never get rid of the s2k line others have said. I missed my chance to get a grandpa owned silver on red. I think his son was asking 16k a few years ago😣

You have to be patient, but it’s worth the wait.

I have an F80 M3 and still have my Z4MC as my summer toy that I drive a couple of thousand km's a year. It doesn't matter that my Z4MC has 330HP, which isn't shabby, it still feels slow as hell compared to my M3. And I absolutely don't care. It's still a much more fun car to drive compared to my modified M3. NA engine with 8k redline, manual transmission, hydraulic steering, analog gauges, no infotainment system, no non-sense. After driving my Z4M and getting back into the F80, the Z4M feels like a proper sports car, the F80 is just feels like a quiet, comfortable, heavy and pretty damn fast family sedan. Don't get me wrong, I love my F80 and its low-end torque. To me, for some cars there's just no point in chasing the horsepower anymore.

If I were you, I'd keep the S2000 and appreciate it for what is. Car manufacturers just don't make cars like the S2000 anymore.

The low end torque of the F80 has spoiled me. The thought of owning a E46 M3 6mt has crossed my mind couple of times. Don’t get me wrong, I love the raw visceral feel of the S2000 esp in sharp turns but in straights it def is lacking. Would the E46 give me that extra pull I’m looking for but still keep that NA high reving engine visceral feel or will I regret it few months down the road after it loses that new car charm?
Here’s my cars and in my sig you can see I had an E46 also.
I feel like the s2k and the M4 are the best of both worlds.
High Rev Visceral Crisp and Lower end Muscular
I’d stay just the way you are. It’s the perfect combo IMO
E46 is great don’t get me wrong. Just not better in this instance For what your looking for.

I'm happy to say I've owned S2000s (3x), E46 M3 (competition package), and now F80 M3.

I've had three S2000s and I still love that car deeply. I sold my S2000s to get into a bigger car, needed a bit more room for daily driving, etc. If I had to do a fourth time I absolutely would buy a supercharger kit for the S2000 and call it a day. Intensely satisfying track car stock, would be more fun with a supercharger.

E46 M3 was great fun also. Lovely to drive daily, a bit more room, sounded good, naturally aspirated is always great too. After a while I did want more power though, which is inevitable with any car I think

I wanted an E90 M3 but never had a chance to own one....still want to cross it off my bucket list.

Now onto my F80 M3. It's a great daily driver year round. Tons of fun for me and I can haul my two boys around easily with a big trunk also. I don't feel as connected to the F80 as I did the E46, partly because of the lack of sound/intake noise. I wish the F80 sounded angrier/louder/throatier; that's my biggest complaint so far.

If you have the opportunity to keep the S2000 and maybe supercharge it or modify, I would. Those cars are tons of fun, dead nuts reliable, and still a classic look in my eyes. E46 M3's are harder to find, a big more costly to own. The F80 M3 is common and will be available used for quite some time.

Good choice on keeping the honda!
I wish i could do the same. I just never drive my 04 anymore.
It'll be a happier car with someone who'll drive it regularly.

I purchase a low mileage S2k last year and it was fun when you were on some really curvy back roads but IMO awful around town or on straight roads. which is the main reason i sold it to get another M car. The F82 is not nearly as rewarding on tight back roads but overall it's far more rewarding.

I sold my 2006 AP2 after 3 years of ownership when someone offered me a great price to buy it. That $5000 I made was the worst mistake I ever made. I shouldn’t have Sold it. Ugh. Thanks guys.
