I just went straight from where it comes out of the outer tail light to the trunk liner (have to remove some clips to do this). This leaves about 0.5" of exposed wires which I wrapped in black electrical tape so don't really notice. I'll try to take a pic when I can

What the? The VLAND install guide video shows how to install these without exposing any wiring. Pull back the rubber liner and run the cables underneath into the trunk cloth liners and into the holes.

Hm, I wonder if turn signal visibility will be improved if we just wired the fog lights together with the turn signals to add extra lit up area.

The brake light is also barely visible. Not sure why the trunk light does not have a brake led as well, unlike the 3 series OLED type.

Are you only referring to the video above? The brake lights are ridiculously bright in person and not standing above it 1 meter away.

Fitment as seen from my post above is OEM 10/10 if installed correctly.

I came from pre-lci halogen lights so this upgrade was massive with lights on or off. Would I upgrade LCI to these? Might be fun to try it out to see, ~$680 is nothing for the visual differences.

For me though, it was ~$680 for these vs $1000+ for LCI's, so these were a no-brainer.
Not trying to be a dick, but anyone who has been around a couple of real OLED lights for a bit of time will be able to spot the fakes pretty easily. At the end of the day, they're LED strips with a feather pattern, not OLED panels.

But obviously, its $700 vs $7000, and I couldn't agree more that its a no-brainer if you have pre-lci tails. If I didn't have LCI taillights already I would've scooped it up ASAP.

Yeah but what I'm saying is that the overall look is about the same. So if one doesn't like the look of the replicas, which looks nearly identical a meter or two back, then they wouldn't like the OEM ones either. It's a given that these look different up close to the trained eyes, as I already stated.

Pre-LCI or LCI, if you like the shape of the GTS lights then what's there to not like in the replicas? Just because it's not OEM? Painted reflectors aren't OEM and neither are 90% of the carbon fiber parts, wheels/tires, exhausts, intakes and suspension that people mount on their cars.

I screenshot 0:01 of the video...the OLED-type brake light is barely visible compared to the pre-LCI because the OLED-type brake light area is small to start with. Is this how it looks in reality or is it the camera's lens not capturing how bright it might be?

As someone who just saw a m4 CS and it's OEM lights and replica GTS tail lights yesterday, I can confirm that the difference is bigger than you'd expect. Especially the more you look at them.

But again, $700 vs 7k who cares lol.

A Chrysler 300 looks like a Bentley until a Bentley pulls up next to you.

These reps are just that. Junk. The f8x is entering its ghettofication phase as the 2nd, 3rd, n+1 owners get a hold of them. Inevitable.

Just my ho.

Funny you say that when it says you drive a GV80 which most people would consider is a Bentayga copy.

Did anyone have to actually remove all 3 of these for F82 per their suggestion or just the single stem on the left side in this picture?

Thanks!
