Crank hub

Hey guys, got back into an F80 after a few years, been reading on here and it seems like this crank hub is becoming more an issue. What's your guys opinion on it? Have any of you don't anything to repair and it and if so where in Chicago?

the crank hub is not becoming more of an issue. Just new people like yourself, who ask questions are answered by product promotion. The actual rate of crankhub failures on this fourm are very low.

if you are going to upgrade your turbos and go past CS levels of HP/Tq....then def something to consider.

As of now no plans to tune, and if I did it was going to be something modest like a CS flash. It's so hard to gauge because the forums are filled with people freaking out about it and then you call a dealer and they act like it doesn't exist.

It's also due to new threads about this same topic being started every week, if not multiple times per week. Due to this, the topic appears to be getting way more coverage than it really should. This has to be the most beaten to death topic out there, and yet every week someone starts a new thread expecting to discover something new.

I didn't post to criticize anyone, but to answer your question. I lost count how many times I've seen this by now, and I haven't even been on these forums that long.
