Enet cable with ISTA/D for diagnostics. Cheapest best route to go. ICOM is very expensive and overkill for just diagnostics

Isn't ISTA+ better?
Also, are the diagnostics just as good as ICOM ?

+1. Most economical and functional option, and what BMW service centers use as well.
