HI there,

I'm curious if anyone has taken front and rear guard height measurements with the Eibach kits installed on the M4?

Considering swapping to them but curious as to where they'll sit in relation to where I currently have my KW's set. Currently my measurements to bottom of guard are ~670mm front (265/30/20) and ~683mm rear (295/30/20).

Cheers,

Is that why the install is typically done by the dealer? I've asked around at a few shops and they only charge for install and alignment but no coding. Granted, their prices are considerably less than the dealers price.

Cheers,

With 265/30/20 FRONT is 684mm and 295/30/20 REAR is 700mm , measured just now. EIBACH European or whatever they are Springs.

Just installed today, and hopefully will settle down a little bit more on rear, but overall I am really happy.

I will post some pics before and after.

Awesome thank you, curious to see what they settle at. Seems a good 15mm up on mine with the KW's about mid way in their setting range.

Is that ZCP?
BTW. Sits oddly low in the front and oddly high in the rear as for a standard.

Its not ZCP ...
I think they settle a bit more after I did few hundreds of km.. The pic was made straight after installation.

Here is a photo from today.. I think it sits nicely now.

What coding needs to be completed after spring installation? I have a non-ZCP 18 M3 and intend to have a shop install V1 Eibachs.

I haven`t done any coding...
Without touching the EDC I don`t think you need to do that, but I might be wrong...
Wait for someone else with more experience then me

Agreed. Hopefully a suspension expert can chime in. From what I've read on these forums, coding needs to be completed afterwards in order for the dampening settings to be adjusted along w/ the new springs. Something about a firmware/software update via I-Step.

Fitted a Euro kit today as that's what we get in Oz, interesting to see how they settle. So far it's sitting about 7-10mm higher than how I had the KW set. Note the photo of the Eibach is straight after fittment, no settle time.

KW

Eibach

Weird. Seems to sit quite high at the rear. But on the other hand the wheel gap doesnt seem to be that big. Please send some more photos, especially after it settles.

No worries will do, I took measurements to the bottom of the wheel arch and it's still only 690mm at the rear

My car is a daily so I didn't mind the idea of it sitting a bit higher, I don't like progressive springs and the KW HAS never felt in sync with the dampers, the spring rates of the Eibach Pro Kit I feel are a good balance for the road, and it get's me away from the KW HAS inner clearance issues at the front with wider wheels & tyres.

Those are just quick ones taken with the phone straight after the install (rear) and after another day and 150 km (front). Left before, right after. Unfortunatelly with different lighting but the difference is clearly visible anyway. Not a big one though, those are Eibachs after all and they still need to settle. This is ZCP. Got measures taken before, I will post them along with those after when I take them as well as full car pictures. TBC.

As for impressions: Very happy overall, car feels nearly stock with a little bit of more stiffness. In a good way though. It did not get uncomfortable, feels more direct, planted and controllable. No scrapping as a bonus, the front gap got quite tasty now with a few extra mm yet to go lower during settling. Can't imagine making any other choice. Spacers will follow.
